New Balance is bringing the much-loved 2002R back this Fall 2025. Keeping true to the clean and classic dad-shoe silhouette still popular today.

The OG 2002R model originally hit the market in the early 2000s as a performance-driven sneaker for serious runners and lifestyle customers. That signature combination of comfort and no-frills style is why it became a staple in the rotation.

Soft grey suede overlays on top of breathable white mesh, reflective “N” logo and the understated green accents in ENCAP/NERGY work together for a personality-filled shoe. ABZORB technology provides responsive cushioning, while the N-ERGY heel element provides additional comfort. The technology is subtle, but sneakerheads will appreciate that the 2002R Grey sneaker is just as functional as it is clean.
