The Vans Skate Old Skool 36+ Debuts January 2025

Published on

The Vans Style 36, now known as the Old Skool, debuted in 1977 as the brand’s second-ever skate shoe. Decades later, Vans reinvents this iconic silhouette with the Skate Old Skool 36+, blending modern performance upgrades with timeless style.

After a limited Carpet Company collaboration of only 1,977 pairs, Vans is now offering the Skate Old Skool 36+ in general release colorways. Fans can choose from Antique White, Navy Red, Dark Green, and Black White, making the updated design widely accessible.

The Skate Old Skool 36+ features several performance-driven enhancements. A padded tongue adds comfort, while a shorter toe cap and pull tabs modernize the design. Its ballistic mesh base provides durability, ensuring it withstands intense skate sessions. DURACAP reinforcements strengthen high-wear areas for extended use. POPCUSH insoles offer excellent cushioning and impact protection, making the shoe ideal for daily wear and skating alike. The vulcanized midsole, combined with a SICKSTICK gum rubber outsole, ensures unmatched grip and control both on and off the skateboard.

The Vans Skate Old Skool 36+ will be available on January 30, 2025, at select Vans retailers and Vans.com for $80 USD. With its upgraded design and reliable performance, this shoe delivers a modern twist on a classic skate icon.

Whether you’re a longtime Vans fan or a newcomer to the brand, the Skate Old Skool 36+ offers a perfect balance of style and functionality. Don’t miss the chance to grab this enhanced version of a timeless favorite.
