Los Angeles-based boutique Union plans to expand its Nike collaboration lineup in Summer 2024. Reliable industry insider Brendan Dunne of Complex reports that Union is set to unveil three fresh color options for the Field General model. The Nike Field General, an athletic shoe dating back to 1982, was initially crafted for football players.
Unlike previous releases, the Nike Field General has not made a comeback in retro form until now. Union’s rendition of the shoe aims to reintroduce this classic model to the market. While Nike briefly revisited the design with the Hyperfuse iteration in 2014, it never truly embraced the retro approach. Another 2014 launch included the Zoom Field General, a contemporary football shoe that shares a name but not much else with the original.

The eagerly anticipated Union x Nike Field General is slated for a June 28, 2024 launch. Enthusiasts can look forward to finding it at Union LA, and there’s a possibility it will also be accessible through Nike’s official channels and select retailers and Nike.com, priced at $120 USD each.
