That context frames the Union x Fragment x Air Jordan 1 “Royal”, a three-way effort between Union LA, Fragment Design, and Jordan Brand that leans on familiarity while quietly rewriting how a classic colorway can be handled.

Black and Sport Royal anchor the upper in a layout that recalls the original “Royal” blueprint, but the execution is less about replication than reinterpretation. Premium leather panels are cut clean, contrasted by visible stitching and Union’s exposed foam collar that deliberately breaks the usual polish. Dual-tone laces and a lightly aged Sail midsole introduce texture without tipping into theatrics.
