Cincinnati sneaker store’s founder, Philip Lipschutz, is gearing up for his latest sneaker collaboration with adidas. He’s offering a sneak peek of the upcoming Unheardof x adidas Rivalry Lo “Grandma’s Couch.” This shoe pays tribute to Lipschutz’s remarkable journey, which started with him sleeping on his grandmother’s couch and has now led him to design his own adidas collab at the Three Stripes’ Portland headquarters.

The adidas Rivalry Lo boasts a vibrant floral pattern on the upper, complemented by mustard and purple-colored overlays and matching laces. The sneaker also features eye-catching bright red Three Stripes branding along the sides, with the iconic Trefoil logo adorning the tongue.

In an Instagram caption, Lipschutz shared his heartfelt sentiments, saying, “From resting on my mom’s old couch to traveling to Portland and meeting the entire 3 stripes team. Mom, I always bring you fresh flowers, just as you told me to. Grandma, you taught me right from wrong on your couch, not just saving my life but also educating all my friends. Chapter 2 is dedicated to you, grandma. I can’t wait to see what the future holds!”

The Unheardof x adidas Rivalry Lo “Grandma’s Couch” is set to hit select adidas Originals retailers, both in-store and online, as well as adidas.com on November 4th. The retail price tag is set at $165 USD each.

UPDATE 11/1: After Philip Lipschutz, the founder of Unheardof, provided a sneak peek of the project back in September, the boutique has officially announced the upcoming release of two distinctive colorways: “Grandma’s Couch” in purple and “Mom’s Ugly Couch” in brown. These Rivalry Lo sneakers are scheduled to be available on Saturday, November 4, both online at Unheardofbrand.com and in their Cincinnati store. Each of the colorways will have a limited quantity of 1000 pairs, and these unique sneakers will be priced at $165 per pair. Take a closer look at the showcased styles below.
