Tyrrell Winston was working with Reebok for years before he decided to switch things up and join adidas earlier in 2026. The New York artist already gave us the Lightblaze POD as his first project with the brand, and now he’s got another pair coming. This time it’s the adidas Spiritain 2000, a running-inspired sneaker that’s part of his first full collection with adidas.
What’s interesting about the Spiritain 2000 is that it looks like an old running shoe from the early 2000s, but it’s actually a newer model. Adidas has been using that same style on shoes like the adiStar Control 5, though Winston went with his own color combination here. The upper is mostly bright red mesh, with cream overlays that have a cracked, worn-looking finish. Small gold accents show up on the branding, his signature near the heel, and the lace tips, while the thick sole keeps that chunky running shoe look.
Winston’s version doesn’t stray too far from the original Spiritain 2000 design, but the red, cream, and gold combination gives it a different feel from the usual retro-inspired adidas runners. It’s also a pretty different shoe from the Lightblaze POD he started with, showing another side of what he’s been working on since leaving Reebok.
The Tyrrell Winston x adidas Spiritain 2000 is expected to release October 22, 2026, alongside a matching apparel collection.
