Premium Pete is there as a special guest. Him and the crew talk about the impact The Diplomats had in New York in their heyday. They also go over the upcoming Air Jordan 3 releases, including the “Tinker” 3 with the Nike Swoosh, and whether or not Flyknit is the go to for sneaker uppers here on out.
They are also joined by such guests as David Diaz, Nike/Jordan specialist for Dick’s Sporting Goods, and former Nike employee at both the Beaverton and Chicago locations. He has a lot of stories to tell, including meeting LeBron James in a sauna and Michael Jordan in an airplane hangar.
Jesse Napoles, owner of “Red Star Cobbler”. He talks about how the skill of cobbling is becoming a lost art. He also shows the crew some of his custom work and walks the through the process of restoring a sneaker.
DJ Zel comes by to talk about the sneaker scene in Chicago and what’s it like being a female sneakerhead. They also talk a little music and whether or not the 90s are making a comeback.
They finally end the show with a segment of “This Week In Stupid” where Nike is getting sued for $3 million by their neighbors on Mercer St. in New York for rowdy crowds, long lines on sneaker release days, and excessive urine.
