Carlos Alcaraz brought out another Travis Scott x Nike Zoom Vapor 12 during his latest run in New York, this time in a much darker colorway than the pair he wore earlier in the tournament.
The first version leaned into the brown tones usually tied to Travis Scott’s “Mocha” releases. This pair goes in the opposite direction, using a mostly black upper with white details breaking things up across the shoe.
The Reverse Swoosh is the detail that stands out right away. It runs across the side in white and gives the Zoom Vapor 12 a look that feels a lot closer to some of Travis Scott’s better-known Nike projects. Alcaraz’s pair also uses his usual on-court setup, with performance tweaks made specifically for him.
That makes a retail release feel unlikely for now. Alcaraz has worn modified Zoom Vapor 12s before, including versions with tooling that is different from the standard pairs Nike sells.
There is no release information for the black Travis Scott x Nike Zoom Vapor 12 at this point. Unless Nike decides to bring out a separate version later, this one may stay exclusive to Alcaraz.
