While Nike and Jordan Brand dominated 2018, it doesn’t look like they’ll be slowing down anytime soon. Some of the notable releases for 2019 includes three classic Air Jordan Retros in their original form, Donovan Mitchell’s first signature shoe, the debut of the Air Jordan 34 as well as Nike Basketball expanding their signature series.

Below is a look at a few releases we’re already looking forward to during the new year (those that we currently know about).

10. adidas D.O.N. Issue #1

adidas DON Issue 1

Donovan Mitchell’s first signature shoe called, the D.O.N. Issue #1. Appropriately titled to embody Mitchell’s Determination Over Negativity, the shoe’s name also pulls inspiration from classic comic books displaying issue numbers on the front cover as a testament to Mitchell’s nickname, “Spida”.

9. adidas Yeezy Basketball

adidas Yeezy Basketball

Kanye West and adidas Hoops will be debuting their new Yeezy Basketball model in 2019. Having a similar build as the Yeezy Boost 350 V2, but comes with an extended ankle collar, suede overlays on the toe highlighted with reflective detailing.

8. Air Jordan 34

Air Jordan 34

Following the debut of the Air Jordan 33, which was a basketball shoe that combines Jordan’s distinct design DNA with a new technology called FastFit. We can only hope that Jordan Brand continues to push the boundaries with the upcoming Air Jordan 34.

7. Nike Basketball Signature Line

Nike Basketball 2019

In 2019, Nike Basketball will reveal the Nike LeBron 17, PG 3, KD 12, Kyrie 6, and most likely a new Kobe model, which has us hyped to see what they have in store for us.

6. adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 GID

At the end of 2018, adidas Yeezy brought us some reflective Yeezy Boost 350 V2s. In 2019, they’ll be releasing some GID (Glow in the Dark) colorways to bring back the Yeezy hype.

5. Nike SB Dunk Low Pigeon Black/White

Jeff Staple and Nike Skateboarding will be adding to his “Pigeon” SB Dunk Low series with an upcoming Black/White iteration. This release has some unique detailing on its inner lining, insole, and outsole. You can expect these to be a highly anticipated release in 2019.

4. Fear of God x Nike

Nike Air Fear of God SA

Jerry Lorenzo had a dominate year in 2018 by releasing his first-ever Nike collaboration with the debut of the Nike Air Fear of God 1 – which was our Sneaker of the Year, as well as the Fear of God x Nike Air Skylon 2. In 2019, Jerry will not only release some new Nike models, like the Nike Air Fear of God Moccasin, but more colorways of the Air Fear of God 1 and SA version.

3. Air Jordan 6 Black Infrared

Air Jordan 6 Black Infrared 2019

The Air Jordan 6 “Black Infrared”, which was worn by Michael Jordan during his first NBA championship, will be returning in 2019. The best part about this release is that it will return with OG-style Nike Air branding.

2. Air Jordan 4 Bred

Air Jordan 4 Bred

Much like the “Black Infrared” Air Jordan 6, Jordan Brand will be bringing back the Air Jordan 4 “Bred” with Nike Air as a follow up to the “Black Cement” Air Jordan 3 in 2018.

1. Air Jordan 11 Bred

Air Jordan 11 Bred 2019

It doesn’t get any better than this. Just like how the “Concord” Air Jordan 11 returned in original form in 2018, the “Bred” Air Jordan 11 will arrive in 2019 with the high-cut patent leather and possibly 45 on the heels. Total geek out mode!

Air Jordan 5 Michigan

Air Jordan 5 Michigan

No leaked photos have surfaced just yet, but this Air Jordan 5 Michigan colorway is expected to look very similar to the “Fab Five” (shown above) school exclusive colorway releasing this Summer 2019.
