Reebok, the renowned sports brand, unveils a lasting collaboration with visionary artist Tobe Nwigwe. This partnership, rooted in Reebok’s rich history with HipHop, introduces the Reebok by Chukwu collection in 2024. The collection, co-designed by Nwigwe, spans fashion and lifestyle, marking an expansion into music and fashion realms.

Hailing from Houston, Tobe Nwigwe, once a promising football talent, faced a career-ending injury in college. Embracing his faith and the mantra “make purpose popular,” Nwigwe emerged as a global sensation. Despite lacking major support, he conquered film, fashion runways, YouTube, and hip-hop charts, earning a 2023 ‘Best New Artist’ nomination for his LP moMINTs.

Expressing gratitude for the partnership, Nwigwe says, “I’m honored to join forces with Reebok, a brand that epitomizes cultural milestones and timeless designs.” Reflecting on his youth, he recalls the excitement of chasing the latest Reebok releases.

Reebok CEO, Todd Krinsky, emphasizes the brand’s history of collaboration with creatives. He anticipates the infusion of Nwigwe’s energy and perspective into upcoming collections. Krinsky applauds Tobe’s role in shaping the genre and leveraging his talent for positive change.

Beyond music, Nwigwe champions mission-driven efforts, founding TeamGINI in 2010. This Houston-based non-profit, translating to ‘What’s your purpose?’ in Igbo, seeks to inspire local youth. The Reebok partnership aims to amplify TeamGINI’s impact.

The inaugural ‘Reebok by Chukwu’ limited-edition capsule collection, debuting in Fall 2024, will showcase Nwigwe’s distinctive vision. The partnership not only aligns with Reebok’s heritage but also amplifies Tobe Nwigwe’s commitment to purpose-driven creativity and positive influence.
