A Richmond teenager has been sentenced to 44 years in prison for the fatal shooting of a Virginia Union University student.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports 19-year-old Willie Daquan Lee was sentenced Friday in Richmond Circuit Court in the Feb. 23 shooting of 20-year-old Kahron M. Lee of Woodbridge. They are not related.
Kahron Lee was returning to his apartment after leading a late-night study session when he was shot.

Willie Lee shot Kahron Lee in the back as Kahron tried to escape when Willie demanded his Nike Air Jordan shoes, according to The Times-Dispatch.

Willie Lee pleaded guilty in June to first-degree murder, robbery and two felony firearms counts. via – WJLA
