Takashi Murakami is using the Ohana Hatake Full-Bloom sandal as the latest home for his rainbow flower. It marks the first time the smiling, multicolored motif has appeared across the model under his own label.

The design covers the sculpted slip-on with the same flower that has followed Murakami through much of his career. At first glance, it reads as bright and cheerful. The meaning has never been that simple, though. Murakami has often used the face to hold several emotions at once, including optimism, sadness, and uncertainty.

Its construction remains similar to prior Full-Bloom iterations, complete with a rounded footbed and elevated build. However, now the art extends over the entirety of the model in one of Murakami’s signature visuals.

Pre-orders for the Ohana Hatake Full-Bloom “Rainbow” begin July 23, 2026, at 12 PM ET through the Ohana Hatake website. Pricing changes take effect the same day, bringing the Full-Bloom down to $90 and the Surippa to $50.
