New Balance and STAUD take the experimental concept car design of the XC-72 onto the Pacific Coast Highway, as part of a new collaborative capsule inspired by ‘80s and ‘90s surf fashions.
Two color options of the STAUD x New Balance XC-72 will be available. One comes with nylon upper and pigskin suede overlays featuring soft, Baby Blue tones, while the oversize “N” logo is outfitted in a deep water evoking Navy. The surf inspired design is rounded out with leather heel tabs and eyerow, in rich, sun and sand inspired shades of Red and Yellow.
The other one features a White nylon upper that’s set against subtle, tonal contrast of soft Beige hairy suede overlays. A patent leather, oversize “N” logo, also outfitted in soft Beige, adds a glossy finishing touch.
Look for the STAUD x New Balance XC-72 styles to release on July 21st a select retailers and NewBalance.com. The retail price tag is set at $150 USD each.
