Song for the Mute Previews adidas Spring/Summer 2027 Collection

Published on

Song for the Mute and adidas are extending their partnership into 2027, with a new Spring/Summer collection previewed during Paris Fashion Week. This time, the Australian label is working across two very different corners of the adidas archive: the Stan Smith and the TRAXION 1000 Hiker.

The Stan Smith takes on the slimmer, slightly worn shape that has become familiar in Song for the Mute’s adidas projects. Three versions have surfaced so far, including white with green, cream with pink, and a navy-based colorway finished with contrasting panels. Suede extensions, layered construction, and mixed materials pull the tennis shoe away from its usually simple leather setup.

Its comeback also coincides with adidas beginning to focus more attention on the Stan Smith once again. While the silhouette has consistently been a part of the company’s lineup, the Superstar has recently stolen much of the lifestyle limelight. The treatment provided here with Song for the Mute takes a more fashion-forward approach while still maintaining the shoe’s signature silhouette.

The TRAXION 1000 Hiker heads in the opposite direction. Built around a chunkier outdoor silhouette, it appears in yellow and black as well as a more restrained white and black option. Rugged tooling and trail-ready proportions give the collection some weight alongside the narrow Stan Smith.

What connects the two models is the finish. Song for the Mute uses muted blocking, layered textures, and a distressed edge to make a court shoe and a hiker feel like parts of the same collection rather than unrelated releases.

The Song for the Mute x adidas Spring/Summer 2027 collection is expected to arrive during the first half of 2027.
