Thanksgiving. It’s that time of the year when families around the country get together, gather around the dinner table and discuss which sneaker show they’ll be attending at the end of the year. It’s the time of year where we give thanks for the pair of Yeezy Boosts we were able to get for retail and for the pair of Air Jordans that we were able to get online without a bot. It’s that time of the year where we show appreciation and honor our founding fathers Michael Jordan, Tinker Hatfield, Bo Jackson, and Ken Griffey Jr. If you’re looking to get into the true spirit of Thanksgiving, there’s a sneaker convention being held on the Saturday after ‘Black Friday’ called Soles On Ice.

Soles On Ice is being hosted by Michigan’s #1 sneaker restoration store, N.A.R.A. Detroit (Never Aged Restoration and Apparel). The event is being held at High Velocity Sports in Canton, MI (46245 Michigan Ave) on Saturday, November 28th, from 1pm to 6pm. The event is being sponsored yours truly, Sneaker Bar Detroit, along with SOO Detroit, VILLA, Burn Rubber, High Velocity Sports, and Dominic Herron Photography. DJ Dinero, of Detroit’s 97.9 WJLB, will be in attendance.

The cost to attend Soles On Ice is $12. For those of you looking to get a vendors table to further promote your brand, or to simply show off your collection and possibly make some sales or trades, the cost is $70. However, if you need 2 tables they will be available for $130. There are still vendor tables available, so if you, or anyone you know, has a brand or collection to showcase, pre-tickets and tables are available on NARADetroit.com.
