In addition to the Air Penny 1, Social Status will also be releasing a collaborative take on the Air Penny 2.
The Social Status x Nike Air Penny 2 collab comes dressed in two color options. One features a Black-based upper with University Blue accents, the other sports a Bone/University Blue makeup. Both Penny 2s come with special action figure-style packing nodding to Lil Penny, the doll from the original commercials for the Air Penny line in the ’90s voiced by Chris Rock. Other details includes special hangtags of a miniature metallic Air Penny 2. Each also feature 3M reflective detailing and come with extra set of laces.

Look for the Social Status x Nike Air Penny 2 “Playground” styles to begin releasing on October 13th via Social Status and October 19th via Nike.com (SNKRS). The retail price tag is set at $200 USD each.

UPDATE 10/21: Following the release of the “Black” colorway, Social Status confirms that the “Playground” Nike Air Penny 2 in the “Cobalt Pulse” makeup will release on November 4th at Socialstatuspgh.com for $200. An in-store raffle is now open from October 21st until November 1st. A SNKRS release will take place on November 10th.

UPDATE 10/12: Social Status will officially be releasing their “Black” aka “Playground” colorway of the Air Penny 2 tomorrow, October 13th at 11 AM ET on socialstatuspgh.com.
UPDATE 9/19: Social Status announces they will release the Black/White colorway of the Nike Air Penny 2 “Playground” on September 20th via in-store raffles at every Whitaker Group store location, along with a general online raffle, and Discord member-only draw. An online release is scheduled for September 30th at socialstatuspgh.com. The White/Blue colorway will launch at a later date to be announced.
