Sneaker Talk: Let’s Talk – Air Jordan 15 (XV) Retro “Black/Varsity Red”

The Air Jordan 15 (XV) Retro Black/Varsity Red originally released on November 15th, 2007 retailed for $150. The Air Jordan 15 Retro was a new design by Jordan Brand that featured a Black full grain leather upper with woven material running across the base. Varsity Red comes into play on the back heel strip finished with the most unique feature, the tongues which was inspired by Michael Jordan (as he is known for sticking out his tongue during games).

The Air Jordan 15 Retro was also inspired by the X-15 Fighter Jet that was developed by NASA in the 1950’s. Even though this design received a lot of hate due to it’s unique styling, it would almost make sense for Jordan Brand to bring them back in today’s era. Do you remember having these in your collection back in ’07? If not, say Jordan Brand did re-release the Air Jordan 15 Retro would you considered copping? Leave your comments and thoughts below.
