Jason Williams pulled out another SLAM x Nike Zoom Hyperflight during the SLAM Summer Classic Vol. 8 in New York, this time debuting a new “Platinum” colorway.
Unlike the orange pair revealed earlier, this version goes with a metallic silver upper matched with black details, small hits of purple, and an icy translucent outsole. “JWILL” branding runs vertically along the heel, keeping the personal touches seen on Williams’ other Hyperflight releases.

The “Platinum” name also brings back memories of Williams’ history with SLAM. He appeared with Sacramento Kings teammate Chris Webber on the magazine’s March 2000 “Double Platinum” cover. Nike and SLAM haven’t said that cover directly inspired the colorway, but the connection is there.
Williams has long been linked to the Zoom Hyperflight, which originally released in 2001 and is now celebrating its 25th anniversary. The model is also part of the larger SLAM x Nike Basketball Summer Classic lineup alongside the Sabrina 4, Ja 4, and GT Cut 4.
Release details for the SLAM x Nike Zoom Hyperflight “Platinum” have yet to be announced.
