Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is officially settling into life with Nike.
About two months after Nike confirmed that SGA would make the move from Converse, the Oklahoma City Thunder star visited Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton. The brand marked the occasion with plenty of Shai branding around campus, including a new athlete banner and a “Just Two It” message tied to what comes next.
The phrase puts a Shai spin on Nike’s famous “Just Do It” slogan while also teasing the second shoe in his signature series. The upcoming SHAI 002 will be an important release since it will become Gilgeous-Alexander’s first signature sneaker to launch under Nike.
SGA spent six years with Converse, a run that saw him become one of the biggest names in basketball. Along the way, he became an NBA MVP, champion, Converse creative director, and eventually received his own signature shoe with the SHAI 001.
Nike also appears to be putting plenty of resources behind its newest basketball star. Recent job listings have focused specifically on the global SGA business, covering areas like merchandising, product, and brand strategy. One listing even groups the Shai and Kobe lines under the same Global Merchandising Director.
Details on the SHAI 002 are still under wraps, but the “Just Two It” rollout makes it clear that Nike is already preparing for the next chapter of SGA’s signature line.
Before that happens, Converse still has a few SHAI 001 releases on the way. The SHAI 001 Lace “Cheetah” is scheduled to release September 3, 2026.
