Back in 2020, Converse announced they have signed Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to a multiyear footwear and apparel endorsement deal, adding the versatile 21-year-old Oklahoma City Thunder star to a group of NBA and WNBA players tasked with relaunching its basketball category.

For 2021, the young star will be releasing his own Converse Pro Leather Ox that arrives in a University Blue base constructed in full leather. White detailing on the laces and branded areas with Metallic Gold “SGA” on the lateral atop a solid Blue rubber sole completes the design.
