The Saucony Grid SD Ether is the second release from the Modern range for SS17. Once again taking inspiration from the brands roots in Boston.
They have chosen to base the theme of this release on the gold dome of the operating amphitheatre in the Bulfinch Building in Massachusetts General Hospital. It once served as the hospital’s operating room from its opening in 1821 until 1867. It was the site of the first public demonstration of the use of inhaled ether as a surgical aesthetic on October 16, 1846, otherwise known as Ether Day.
The Saucony Grid SD features a full Rose Gold shiny upper that includes rope laces, perforated detailing and rests atop an Off-White rubber sole.
