Foot Locker will start carrying Salomon in the United States on July 19, with the XT-6, XT-6 GORE-TEX, and XT-WHISPER leading the first release. It is a meaningful expansion for the French brand, which has steadily moved from the trail-running space into the wider sneaker and fashion market.

Those three models still look and feel rooted in performance. The technical uppers, aggressive tooling, and outdoor-focused construction are part of what made Salomon stand out in the first place. Over time, that same design language found an audience in streetwear and helped push the brand into the center of the gorpcore trend.

Michelle Wang, Senior Vice President and Chief Merchant at Foot Locker, described Salomon as “a key addition” to the retailer’s brand lineup. She also cited its growing influence in street style and its place within Foot Locker’s goal of remaining “the ultimate destination for sneaker culture.”

A farmer’s market-inspired pop-up will follow the launch on August 1 at Foot Locker’s 22 East 14th Street store in New York City. The public event will include community programming and product-focused experiences built around the new Salomon offering.

The Salomon XT-6, XT-6 GORE-TEX, and XT-WHISPER will be available at Foot Locker stores across the United States starting July 19, 2026.
