Jordan Brand continues its collaboration with NBA star Rui Hachimura, introducing a new Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Cranes.” Inspired by Hachimura’s Japanese heritage, this sneaker builds on the design language of his 2022 “Cranes” PE, incorporating intricate details and cultural motifs.
The sneaker combines oatmeal suede across the toebox, tongue, and laces, delivering a premium feel. Traditional Japanese floral patterns featuring cranes adorn the overlays, creating a visually striking aesthetic. Former Jordan Brand designer Kelsey Amy, known for crafting storytelling-focused designs, brought this concept to life in 2023.
A metallic gold-outlined black suede Swoosh adds a bold accent, while the aqua-green Jordan Wings logo on the heel offers a refreshing pop of color. The sail midsole, detailed with gold stitching, and gum outsole complete the elegant look. Rui’s custom Japanese-inspired logo on the insole provides a personal and meaningful touch.
