Ronnie Fieg appears to be paying tribute to Scottie Pippen’s college basketball days at the small school of University of Central Arkansas. He recently teased a photo of him rocking a re-tooled version of the Nike Air Maestro 2 that was worn by Scottie Pippen during the 1994 season. He also debuted an all-Red pair in the 1994 NBA All-Star Game where he won the game’s MVP honors, finishing with 29 points, 11 rebounds and 4 steals.
It’s unknown if this is an upcoming Ronnie Fieg x Nike Air Maestro collaboration, or just a special edition sample from Nike to Fieg. But the shoe is a direct nod to Pippen’s college days dressed in a Purple nubuck color scheme.
No official detailed have been confirmed, but you can get a teaser look at this interesting Nike Air Maestro below. Stay tuned to Sneaker Bar for more updates as they develop.
