The Nike Air Foamposite silhouette was at an all time high when the Galaxy color way released 2 years ago in 2012 and quite a few limited colors were produced to attempt to re capture the demand. The Doernbecher, Paranorman, and Oregon pairs were instant sell outs and retained quite a bit of resell profit months after their respective releases. Nike has attempted to bring out a once unattainable Player Edition color way for Penny himself by packing it with a new basketball model at a $500 price point. Sticking a very anticipated sneaker with another that wouldn’t sell that well on its own has the potential to be risky and the numbers below tell the story of the Nike Foamposite “Shooting Star” package.

At a 34.90% sell-through rate, resellers are having a really hard time selling the Nike Penny Foamposite Pack. With an average resale price of $598, resellers have been unable to capitalize and make a profit.

Sales data collected from eBay and Kixify listings have proved that not even the hype behind the Shooting Star color way could make this pack very profitable. With a $500 base price as well as tax and potentially shipping, these are the numbers after pairs were obtained and resold.
