Doc Gooden and Darryl Strawberry were two of the biggest stars in baseball that helped the Mets win the 1986 World Series. As a nod to their 20th Anniversary, Renarts and Reebok have teamed up to release a special edition “Dead End Kids” edition of the LX 8500.
This Reebok LX 8500 features a Black-based upper that represents the darkness around the team, along with Mets Blue suede toes. Orange and Blue 3M piping indicative of the now long-gone neon signs of Shea Stadium.
Look for the Renarts X Reebok LX8500 “Dead End Kids” Collection that includes matching shirts and hoody collabs with Mitchell & Ness to release at Renarts on October 18th at 7PM. An online release will take place on October 22nd at 11AM. The retail price tag is set at $130 USD.
