The Reebok Aztec is making a return in one of its original colorways for the summer, that is scheduled to debut this August 2015.
In 1895 Joseph William Foster of the Bolton Primrose Harriers Track Club had an idea, to create a faster running shoe . He rented a room in his local pub and set to work driving nails through the smooth soles of his running shoes. Soon Joseph Foster has created the world’s first spiked running shoe.
In 1979 Reebok Launched their most advanced running shoe yet, the Aztec. The shoe featured many innovations in running footwear-a dual density mid-sole for both cushioning and support, a replaceable carbon rubber heel for durability, speed laces that provided a customized fit without causing hotspots, and perforated Poron cushioned insoles. The Aztec Shoe was handmade in England and was described as “Lightweight, fantastic, and expensive.”
