With Detective Pikachu scheduled to hit theaters on May 10th, it looks like adidas has an upcoming Pokémon collection inspired by the iconic ’90s anime series and video game.
Shown here is a look at two causal low-top models paying tribute to original Pokémon characters, Pikachu and Squirtle. Each shoe features a White lather upper with an all-over illustrated pattern of each character. Yellow and Blue heel tabs represent the colors of Pikachu and Squirtle, completed with a character patch embroidery on the medial side taking place of the traditional Three Stripes. Co-branded tongue labels completes the design.
No word on an official release date, but you can get a first look at this Pokémon x adidas Collection below. Stay tuned for more updates as they develop.
UPDATE: Following on-feet photos of the Pikachu version, we now get a better look via @wavegod_thelegend at the Squirtle pair from the upcoming Pokémon x Adidas collaboration. Still no word on release information from the collab just yet.
