With the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation program, teenage cancer survivor Peyton Smith was welcomed to Nike headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon to design his very own Air Jordan 4 shoe.
“Today is a very special day because exactly one year ago today I did a once in a lifetime opportunity that was my Make-A-Wish,” Smith recalled. “What I did for my wish due to my passion and love for everything sneakers was to visit Nike Headquarters out in Oregon and design a shoe of my very own; that shoe being an Air Jordan.”
Smith’s iteration of the Air Jordan 4 comes dressed in a Blue, Grey and White color blocking as a nod to his Air Force family. Other details includes “Air Peyton” behind the tongues, Nike Cancer Ribbon on the heels, the places her lived printed on the lateral completed with WW2 fighter planes inspired insoles.
There are only four pairs of the Air Jordan 4 “Make-A-Wish” in existence made exclusively for him and his family.
