Nike Football continues the narrative of the Mercurial R9 lineage with its Cryoshot series, which Patta nationalizes for its latest release.

Based off the boot worn by World Cup Champ Ronaldo Nazario back in 1998, The Patta Nike Cryoshot Mercurial Vapor R9 sports a fresh twist on the original. Rather than utilizing a Brazil-inspired blue and yellow scheme, this colorway pumps things up Netherlands style with black, silver and orange accents.

Metallic silver leather dominates much of the upper, while gloss black overlays help give it a harsher streetwear vibe. Orange accents follow through on the panel lines and match up with the Swoosh, providing the shoe its most patriotic-national team reference. The oversized tongue flap continues to keep the Mercurial R9 detail front and center without making this sneaker feel like your typical throwback.

The completed capsule is rounded off with a matching Patta World Cup kit in the same black and orange direction. The jersey includes lion graphics, chain artwork, crest derived details, Patta branding and an oversized ING sponsor hit across the chest. Binding the shoes and clothing together in one full Netherlands inspired theme.

The Patta Nike Cryoshot Mercurial Vapor R9 will launch June 11th via pattaxnike.com and Patta locations in Amsterdam, London, Milan, and Lagos. The sneaker releases June 16th on Nike SNKRS and selected retailers.
