Nike and Berlin-based label PAN Records have teamed up for an unconventional and hauntingly beautiful version of the Air Max 180. Known for pushing experimental sound and visual art, PAN brings that same energy to this minimalist, all-black sneaker.
The upper features a matte, crinkled synthetic overlay with a translucent sheen, while the midsole and visible Air unit are fully blacked out. There are no Swooshes on the upper, creating a stealthy, stripped-down look.
What truly sets this Air Max 180 apart is what lies beneath the surface—literally. A translucent outsole reveals a graphic of Pan, the mythical half-goat deity known for music and wild nature. This nod to Greek mythology ties directly into PAN Records’ themes of duality, nature, and introspection.
The special-edition packaging includes the same Pan graphic on custom tissue paper, enhancing the storytelling element of the release. Subtle branding, tonal stitching, and the number “180” embossed on the heel further emphasize the refined execution.
