Between 2016 and 2018, Drake, alongside his OVO brand, dominated the sneaker world with a series of highly coveted collaborations with Jordan Brand. These partnerships yielded timeless silhouettes that left a lasting impact on both sneaker culture and hip-hop. The era was defined by elegance, premium materials, and exclusivity, embodying the OVO ethos.

Among the various prototypes sampled during this period were two “Look See” Air Jordan 9 colorways—one in crisp white and the other in stealthy black. Both samples featured gold OVO branding on the tongue and heel, icy outsoles, and luxurious materials. These 1-of-1 designs, however, never made it to retail, as Drake opted to focus on other retros for public release. The Air Jordan 9 samples remain elusive, a piece of sneaker folklore rarely seen until now.
