New Balance’s Heritage line is set to release the 991v2 “Purple Sage” Fall 2025. This Made in England edition will be crafted in soft pigskin suede and breathable mesh in a lavender shade for a luxurious appearance.

Grey accents have been used on the “N” logo, heel badge and tongue branding to keep New Balance’s heritage DNA intact. The two-tone midsole is a white and cream color, while the translucent ABZORB pods keep things comfortable. A black outsole rounds things out with contrast.

This 991v2 is an evolution of the New Balance 991 silhouette which was originally introduced back in 2001. The original 991’s become a cult classic in the UK, with more recent updates being well received. This particular colorway stands out from previous releases and looks brand new yet familiar.

Nike Doernbecher Freestyle is one of the most special traditions in sneakers. For 20-plus years, the program has raised over $40 million for OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, allowing young patients to express themselves by designing custom sneakers. Patient creators then auction their own pairs off to raise funds for the hospital, with each design a unique combination of their inspirations, interests, and courage.

Across two decades, the Doernbecher Freestyle Collection has included everything from Air Max essentials to highly coveted Air Jordans. One retro silhouette has always taken center stage in the lineup. For 2025, the spotlight will shine on the Air Jordan 17, the model recently confirmed to lead the Doernbecher Freestyle 21 Collection.

According to Kicks Finder, the Doernbecher Freestyle 21 also includes an impressive supporting cast. Making the journey with the Air Jordan 17 are the Air Force 1 ’07, Air Max DN8, Air Max Plus, V2K Run, and Vomero Plus. Each silhouette has its own unique history as a heritage classic or performance sneaker and will be recreated with a patient design ethos. Nike has teamed up with Seoul-based streetwear stalwart Worksout to breathe new life into a familiar silhouette. The Nike Air Max 95 will receive its third new-toned colorway in “Thunder Blue”. The resulting design meshes classic ’90s running genealogy with a distinctly Korean street sensibility. The Worksout Air Max 95 is equal parts vintage homage and current sneaker culture zeitgeist.

The upper of the shoe is a layered combination of navy and indigo mesh, suede and leather, with a woven texture. This results in a tonal depth not unlike indigo dyeing techniques. The signature undulating overlays characteristic of the Air Max 95 are all dipped in a gradient of Thunder Blue, subtly graduating from a dark navy to a slate. Reflective detailing adds for a nice contrast, while custom Worksout branding can be found on the insoles.

Underfoot, the exposed Air Max units in the heel and forefoot remain unchanged. This gives the shoe its signature cushioning and bounce. The tonal execution is completed with a beige midsole and blue rubber outsole. This makes for a clean sneaker that will age well even with miles on it.

Anthony Edwards’ inaugural visit to China has only solidified the young NBA star as one of the league’s most approachable athletes. From answering fan questions like “Ni hao what’s hannin?” to meeting up with Yao Ming, Edwards has provided plenty of viral social moments. However, the most exciting came in the form of adidas debuting his second signature shoe, the adidas Anthony Edwards 2.

The AE2 continues the success of his first sneaker, with the same futuristic design language and bold sculpted silhouettes. Each version of the shoe comes with a black tongue, collar, and lining, which also creates a sort of uniformity between different colorways of the sneaker. For the launch collection, adidas is centering three key editions.

The first pair to be released is the “With Love” colorway on October 4th, which consists of a Lucid Pink upper, bold orange accents, and is detailed similar to adidas’ campaign images of Edwards. Later that month, the “Blue Fusion” edition releases October 25th, constructed in a blue mesh upper with lime green accents and a neutral grey cage. Sabrina Ionescu and Kobe Bryant both making a silencing gesture during Team USA games — Sabrina Ionescu and Kobe Bryant deliver iconic “silencer” gestures while representing Team USA, each quieting the crowd in clutch moments.

The simple colorway is a nod to some monumental moments in Sabrina Ionescu career. The release itself hasn’t been officially tied to an event by Nike, but the name of the shoe speaks for itself. Most will remember Ionescu’s clutch performance for Team USA against Belgium where she nailed a late game three-pointer to silence the home crowd. As she hit the shot, she pointed to the scoreboard, then silenced the crowd with a finger to her lips. The game was already sealed but it counted due to the point system in the Olympics. The entire celebration seemed like more than an emotional release, it was purposeful and brave. The Engineered Garments x Vans OTW Slip-On releases August 28, 2025, paying a radical homage to one of Vans’ most storied silhouettes. The drop continues longtime Vans collaborator Daiki Suzuki’s Engineered Garments take on skateboarding and fashion.

Where some past EG collabs have played it deceptively subdued, this new drop employs a misaligned color block scheme to tell its story. The standout colorway is a red/blue canvas Slip-On, a direct reference to Vans’ first model, the Authentic (Style #44). The asymmetric color scheme speaks to the uneven ways skate icon Tony Alva would often wear out a pair, inspiring Vans’ own red/blue Era (Style #95) a few years later. A subtle, but essential nod that will no doubt make sneaker historians nod with approval.

A second, more muted, colorway sticks with black and navy panels juxtaposed against traditional white sidewalls. Both versions maintain classic details like gum waffle outsoles, exposed contrast stitching and OTW skateboard logo print on each heel. The insole features co-branding that reinforces the connection between Vans and Engineered Garments’ NYC history.

Priced at $100, the collab is a sensible price point for a sneaker with this much connection to its cultural roots and original craft. Slip-Ons have always been a stealth classic for their versatility, but this drop illustrates how creative storytelling can enhance a wardrobe staple. adidas Ultraboost 1.0 “Triple White” Returning For 10th Anniversary

The adidas Ultraboost 1.0 “Triple White” returns this Fall 2025, commemorating 10 years since one of the brand’s most popular sneakers first launched. Released in 2015, the original pair is infamous for its unique release story. Launched as an all-white shoe, the production model featured a black outsole that was famously worn by Kanye West at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. That moment is what etched the colorway into sneaker history.

Fast forward a few months, and adidas worked with its Consortium line to correct the black outsole for a true “Triple White” editon. Crafted by creative directors James Carnes and Dirk Schönberger, their updated version was all-white as expected. From there, the Ultraboost grew as both a performance running shoe and lifestyle silhouette.

The 2025 retro is faithful to that refined model while offering some fresh details. The Primeknit upper is more breathable with a modernized pattern, faux snakeskin overlays appear on the lace cage and leather insoles are added for a premium touch. Gold “ultra boost” branding replaces the silver original for a cleaner finish, too. On the inside, the classic Boost midsole and Continental outsole provide the same cushy comfort that popularized the Ultraboost era.

The Ultraboost is an enduring shoe. Its original release was a pivotal moment for adidas. It rode a wave of momentum, helped by Kanye West and the act of releasing the same performance running shoe for men and women at the same time. The Boost hype has since died down, but adidas continues to look back on its defining models and return with updated rereleases that play into the nostalgia while offering some small updates. Many fans will see this release as the “true” Triple White moment.

Scheduled to launch this Fall, Nike’s Pegasus Premium “Black/Metallic Silver” is a pared-back SP release with a slightly more lifestyle-driven bias.

Not as obvious Pegasus as usual, this pair is devoid of side markings, heel tags, or the readable “Air Zoom” branding. Nike also holds the essential Swoosh and ZoomX/ReactX indicators along the midsole for familiarity.

The color palette in play is direct and polarizing, the black knit uppers contrasting nicely against a clean, white tongue. Metallic Silver Swooshes dress up the appeal while a gentle blue hue on the visible Zoom Air unit gives this upgrade a more subtle third dimension.

adidas has confirmed a seasonal drop with their Campus 00s “Winter.” The update to the lifestyle icon will feature platform soles, suede construction, and fuzzy lining.

adidas will release two iterations. The mid-top version has been reimagined with an UGG-like construction to deliver a cozy insulated fit. As for the low-top mule, it will provide a more slip-on solution for more laid back outings.

Nike is further expanding its performance running fleet with the new Nike Pegasus Premium “Smoke Grey”.

This fresh colorway features a breathable Smoke Grey mesh upper with a bold black sole. Volt green accents add contrast on the tongue, insole, and heel tab, while translucent blue Swooshes provide subtle contrast.
