Maxallure and adidas Skateboarding Unveils New Footwear Collection

adidas Skateboarding in partnership with cult skate outfit Maxallure along with co-owner, shared Pro team rider and model Lil Dre announces the Maxallure Capsule Collection. The all-new footwear and apparel pack takes inspiration from quintessential prep school outfits and ‘70s collegiate styles, updates them with modern skate performance features, and imbues positive messaging through the capsule’s slogan “Think Beautiful Thoughts” seen throughout.

“This launch means the world to me,” says Pro team rider Lil Dre. ”adidas is one of my favorite brands, and I want to thank the entire skateboarding team for helping me bring my vision to life. The Forum High is my favorite silhouette to skate in, and I enjoyed doing something different and not often seen with the colorway. Plus, pink is my favorite color!”

A rider-led collaboration, the Forum 84 ADV by MXA Dre arrives in a White and Pink colorway alongside the quintessential three stripes in chenille embroidery adjacent to “Lil Dre” chain stitched on the heel strap. As a nod to classic varsity jackets, the silhouette features Maxallure’s distinctive MXA branding on the side with debossed numbers “8” and “4” imprinted on the left and right heel. A premium leather upper rounds out the Forum 84 ADV by MXA Dre that provides extended durability and support.

Opting for a more traditional skate aesthetic, Watson and Lockman select a black and White combination with pops of Royal Blue for the Campus ADV by MXA footwear. The co-founders strategically highlight the MXA branding beneath an iced-out sole to emulate a gymnasium court logo that harks back to the silhouette’s college basketball roots. “Think Positive Thoughts” appears on the sockliner with an emblematic trefoil and MXA branding separately dented into the left and right heel tab to cap off a fresh spin on the archival classic.

Air Jordan 1 High OG Fragment LV Louis Vuitton Samples

When it comes to Fragment collaborations, it seems like every few years, a sample pair pops up from whatever rock it was hiding under to turn the internet upside down. Today we have a previously unseen pair that will do just that.

Thanks to English Sole, we get a look at this extremely rare Fragment x Air Jordan 1 Sample that comes constructed with Louis Vuitton Epi leather. Yes you read that right. This is not a custom or a pair reconstructed using premium materials. This is a genuine sample tagged Fragment 1 created by Jordan Brand, covered in LV leather. The color blocking and the overall look is very similar to what released at first, but up close, the premium materials definitely stand out and take center stage. It is rumored that the pair was created for former Louis Vuitton creative director, Kim Jones, and that only 3 exist. Making this pair easily the most rare of the Fragment collaborations.

Unfortunately for us, this Air Jordan 1 High OG “Fragment” Sample won’t be releasing any time soon, as its been hidden away as a sample since 2014.
