Jordan Brand Signs Their First NIL Athlete Kiki Rice

Jordan Brand has signed its first NIL in Kiki Rice, one of the most decorated players from the class of 2022. The 5’11” incoming freshman at UCLA joins a decorated roster of women athletes on Jordan Brand. Together, these women are raising the game to new heights.

“Being Jordan Brand’s first NIL athlete is an incredible milestone, and I think it’s a testament to the hard work I’ve put in and all the people around me who have helped me get to this point,” says Rice. “Signing with the Jordan Brand is another motivating factor for me to continue to work hard and achieve my goals.”

South2 West8 Releasing Their First Reebok Collab in November

Reebok and Japanese clothing brand South2 West8 have announced their first collaborative project, the South2 West8 x Reebok Zig Kinetica II Edge, utilizing technical elements and aesthetics that explore the traditional Japanese fly-fishing method, “Tenkara.”

“We were inspired by a visual of an outdoor field colliding with an urban city and the idea of linking the two,” commented South2 West8’s brand director. “SOUTH2 WEST8 holds little interest in designs that are overly sophisticated or high-tech, in favor of those that are athletically functional. In this respect, the Zig design aptly maintains its functionality, while possessing decorative and assertive elements with great visual volume and presence. These characteristics make it a perfect match for SOUTH2 WEST8 wear.”

The South2 West8 x Reebok Zig Kinetica II Edge features a textile camouflage upper embellished by Lush Green suede overlays, a spiky rubber toe cap, Green laces, and a Green heel loop completing the military-inspired look. Supreme x Nike Air Max 98 TL Releases November 3rd

Supreme and Nike are getting ready to launch a new collaboration, this time with their own take on the Air Max 98 TL.

Originally released in 1998, the Supreme x Nike Air Max TL will be arriving in four color options, Black, White, Pink, and Brown. Each pair features a leather and mesh build detailed with a replaced full-length Air Max unit commonly seen on the Air Max 97. 3M reflective TPU overlays, “Supreme” branding across the heel with “TL Air” logo completes the design. They’ll come with co-branded hangtags, insoles, and packaging.

Better Nike SB Dunk Low: “Freddy Krueger” or “Mummy”

For Halloween, we take a look at two popular Nike SB Dunk Low colorways for the spooky holiday.

Paying tribute to the villain from the Nightmare on Elm Street film franchise, the Nike SB Dunk Low “Freddy Krueger” debuted in 2007. It features details from Freddy’s signature striped sweater and razor-sharp blades that extend from his leather gloves. The shoe also comes with blood-splattered stain on the leather overlays.

Due to a cease and desist being issued to Nike by the creators of the “Nightmare on Elm Street” franchise, the shoes never received an official release. Only around 30 samples of the “Freddy Krueger” Dunks are rumored to exist.

The Nike SB Dunk Low “Mummy” is a monster-inspired release celebrating 2021 Halloween. It features an Off-White canvas upper with frayed edges that can be torn away to show a Bluish-Grey suede underlay. Other details include an embroidered spider on the leg toe box and an ancient Egyptian Eye of Horus graphic on the interior tongue. Glow-in-the-dark outsole and embroidered eyes on the back heel completes the design.

To celebrate Halloween 2007, Nike Sportswear released a special edition kids-exclusive Dunk Low for the spooky holiday.

Dressed in a White, Soft Orange, and Black color scheme. This offering of the Nike Dunk Low features a White leather base with Black overlays, sockliner, and rubber outsole. Orange contrasting accent on the laces, Swoosh, and branding with an embroidered Jack-o-lantern on the lateral side gives it that added spooky detail.
