Nike continues to tap into demand for the original Nike Air Max 95 shape, and the momentum hasn’t slowed. Over the past year, the brand has leaned heavily into classic styling, bringing back the beloved “Big Bubble” look through both high-profile collaborations and steady general releases. For longtime fans, it’s been a consistent run of retro energy built around the silhouette’s roots.

While much of 2025 focused on the return of the signature grey gradient colorways like “Mandarin,” “Blue Spark,” and “Pink Foam,” Nike is now shifting toward deeper archive picks. One of the latest examples is the Air Max 95 “Comet,” a design originally seen in 2010 that now gets a modern revival.

The pair keeps things true to the model’s DNA, featuring a smooth black-to-white gradient across the side panels. Hits of red bring contrast throughout, landing on the eyelets, branding, and visible Air units. A custom version of the Nike Air Max 95 “Neon” is making noise with one major change: its sole has been stacked three times. Built by Japanese customizer @atelierkato, the pair keeps the iconic gradient upper and volt accents intact, but completely changes the shape underfoot with an exaggerated triple-layer Air Max unit. The result is one of the wildest Air Max 95 customs in recent memory, pushing the classic runner into full-on sculptural territory.

The upper still carries the familiar DNA that made the “Neon” colorway a legend, from the layered grey panels to the mesh build and sharp hits of volt. That familiar look makes the oversized tooling stand out even more. Instead of feeling random, the stacked sole gives the shoe a dramatic new stance while still keeping the original Air Max 95 identity visible. Clean construction also helps the concept land, because the fused sole units look far more polished than most experimental customs.

This triple-stacked Nike Air Max 95 “Neon” Custom will not be for everyone, but that is exactly why it works. Footwear like this is built to get a reaction, and it does that immediately without losing the appeal of the original model.

Nike continues their inevitable drop onslaught with yet another Air Max 95 for Summer 2026. Pencil Point, Anthracite, and Light Charcoal take charge here and make the upper feel darker and ashier from head to toe. Hot Curry then lands where it needs to to brighten the sneaker right up.

The base is covered in Pencil Point mesh while the suede panels on the sides transition from light grey to the darker grey shades as you move down. That fade is still what sells this sneaker and it does it’s job here holding the shoe together. Bright orange eyelets, tongue print, and mini Swooshes near the heel tie the sneaker together with just enough color to keep your interest. No one element is crazy loud, which is probably what helps the sneaker work as well as it does.

Dark midsole and black mudguard lend the shoe a heavier appearance as soon as you look at it. Hot Curry makes an appearance on the outsole once again, while the exposed Air units also have a hint of color to them helping this sneaker have just a bit more depth to it. Speaking of materials, they look great as well. Suede looks buttery and textured, while the mesh allows for that classic breathable running feel we all love on this silhouette.

Nike is giving the Air Max 90 another Racing-themed update, this time in a sharp “Silver Sage” colorway that mixes muted tones with darker performance-inspired details. The upper looks clean and balanced in the images, pairing soft Silver Sage across the perforated leather base, tongue, eyestays, collar, and suede overlays. Black takes over the mudguard, Swoosh, heel overlay, and midsole, creating strong contrast and giving the classic runner a more aggressive edge than a typical release.

The design also sticks with details that help separate this pair from a standard inline colorway. Carbon fiber-style texture appears inside the mudguard window near the Air Max branding, adding to the Racing identity without overdoing it.
