Nike is bringing back one of its most unconventional collaborations, giving the Cactus Plant Flea Market Flea 1 a second chance after its original rollout fell apart. The “Barley/Desert Moss” colorway, which was quietly canceled before its planned 2022 release, is now expected to finally hit retail during Holiday 2026. According to Sneaker Market and @Brandon1an on X, this return will include both the revived Barley edition and a new “Black” colorway.

The Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Flea 1 originally generated buzz for its bold, experimental design. However, widespread sizing inconsistencies forced Nike to pull the shoe before it could see a proper launch. As a result, the silhouette remained limited in circulation, turning it into a rare and highly talked-about piece among collectors.

Design-wise, the Flea 1 stands apart from traditional Nike models. The shoe features exaggerated proportions, layered suede construction, and quilted details, all sitting on a sculpted Air sole with textured finishes. Its oversized Swoosh and organic, almost overgrown aesthetic reflect CPFM’s signature approach to playful and unconventional design.

The Nike Air Max 90 “Neon” comes back with that charged-up look the line has always handled well. You get a stack of greys — Pearl Grey on the mesh, deeper Charcoal and Anthracite around the panels — all acting like a dimmer switch for the neon hits. And those neon pieces don’t whisper. The Swoosh, heel badge, even the Air chamber tint cut right through the darker base, something fans of old Volt drops will recognize immediately.

What gives this pair its edge is how normal it feels at first glance, then how quickly the details start talking. The mudguard shape hasn’t wandered. The ribbed eyestays still anchor the upper. It starts with a black mesh sockliner for breathability throughout the upper. Stretchy synthetic overlays traverse the upper like a wave with details outlined in Utility Green. There’s a small, raised logo “N” tab on the midfoot made out of overlays too. Then there’s utility cage molding that builds structure while playing into the overlapping theme without interrupting the flow of the design.
