Let’s Talk: Air Jordan 11 Low “Columbia Blue”

These Air Jordan 11 Low “Columbia Blue” came, they sold and now they are only something to remember. They featured a White leather upper with Columbia Blue patent leather midsole that ran along the toe box and heel. They originally released on April 14th 2001 with a retail price of only $115 (bring that price back, right?).

We have to say these were one of the Air Jordan’s that a lot of SneakerHeads may have wished they would have cop back in 2001. Were you one of those SneakerHeads? If you had a chance, would you cop a pair if they retro them? With the Air Jordan 11 Low’s coming back this year, we can only hope to see this colorway make it’s first retro? Let us know your thought in the comment section below? Always rock with Sneaker Bar for daily updates and news.

Sneaker Bar’s Top 10 Sneakers of 2011

2011 was a great year for #sneakerheads. Many releases had us scrambling for money and camping out for hours. In the end, it was all worth it. To a #sneakerhead, there is no greater feeling than when you cop that fresh pair of sneakers that everyone else wish they had. Sneaker Bar Detroit wanted to put together a list of some of our favorite releases from 2011. It was extremely hard because we could not put every sneaker on the list. Some may agree, while others disagree. Either way, we have to remember that every #sneakerhead has their own taste. We hope you enjoy and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Always rock with Sneaker Bar Detroit for the latest news and updates.

#1 Air Jordan 11 “Concord”

We had to put this at number 1 because it had #sneakerheads going crazy. Guns were drawn, a truck went through the front window, security guards were trampled, and many fights broke out……all because of this shoe. It was arguably the most anticipated release of 2011. The shoe represents greatness.

#2 Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement”

Turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes with a Jordan release for dessert. This black Friday release had many #sneakerheads camping out immediately after Thanksgiving dinner with the family. Believe me, many #sneakerheads gave thanks for this sneaker.

#3 Air Jordan 5 Tokyo

Jordan combined with Tokyo? Who would of thought that would have happened? However, it worked. In order to commemorate the opening of Jordan Tokyo 23, Jordan Brand created the “Air Jordan 5 Tokyo 23”. Even though they were limited to Japan accounts, they had #sneakerheads all over the world paying a lot of money to cop a pair.

#4 Nike Zoom KD IV “Nerfs”

We all had nerf guns when we were younger. #Sneakerheads went nuts when Kevin Durant rocked these during the NBA lockout. The colorway and theme have been done before on a shoe. However, these sneakers only dropped in certain states, which had many #sneakerheads furious.

#5 Air Jordan 5 “Quai 54”
Paris is known for its beauty and ability to amplify romance. Its also known for the Quai 54 streetball tournament that is sponsored by Jordan brand. These released overseas exclusively at European Footlocker stores. Who says Europe never gets any love?

#6 Nike LeBron 9 “China”
Also known as the “Fire Lion”, the LeBron 9 “China” had (and still does) #sneakerheads going nuts. The colorway is a breath of fresh air. Designers got creative and added a dragon graphic on the tongue. If only the Miami Heat’s alternate colorway was Neptune Blue and Fire Orange.

#7 Nike MAG Marty McFly

Great Scott! Many #sneakerheads fell in love with this shoe years ago when they saw Michael J. Fox on the hovering skateboard. There was a huge auction for this sneaker, with the proceeds going to the foundation for parkinson’s research. #Sneakerheads with big pockets were able to scoop up a pair.

#8 Nike LeBron 9 “Cannon”

You are probably asking why two different LeBron’s are on the countdown. Why not? The LeBron 9 “Cannon” is inspired by Miami Heat’s 2010-2011 preseason camp at the military base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The orange makes the shoe pop!

#9 Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III “Salmon Toe”

Jordan’s and Nike’s have dominated the countdown thus far. However, a particular release caught our eye. The Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III “Salmon Toe” were a big hit. The Salmon toe is unique and adds a great touch to the shoe. As you know, Ronnie Fieg never disappoints.

#10 The 10 spot is a two-way tie between the Air Jordan 3 “True Blues” and the Nike Zoom KD IV “Weathermans”.

To start, the True Blues are a classic shoe that stands out in that colorway. Dwayne Wade said that the True Blues were his favorite Jordan retro.

The KD IV “Weathermans” are special, not only because of the colorway, but the inspiration behind it. Kevin Durant indicated that he always wanted to be a weatherman when he grew up. No offense, but we are glad he plays in the NBA instead of giving us the weekly forecast.

Nike Zoom KD IV “Year of the Dragon” – Detailed Look

Kevin Durant’s signature Sneakers have been the talk in the streets as of late. The Air Jordan 10 “Chicago” has been pushed back to the 26th of January in Asia. This has no effect for the U.S release date as they are still scheduled to release on time, January 21st. The good news for people that live in Asia are that the reason for this push back are because of a restock of the Air Jordan 11 “Concord”. January 6th and 9th will be the official date for the restock of the “Concord” in Hong Kong and China will have their restock in by January 8th.

After getting this information the first thing that came to mind was, could this mean a possible restock for the U.S?
