We all know our military personnel and their families sacrifice a great deal for us, our safety, and well being. We all need to thank God and pray for them every day. Who knows what would happen if we didn’t have a strong military protecting us and our country? The next time you see a service member, go up to them, shake their hand and thank them. Believe me, that is the least you can do.

Some of the NBA’s top players, which included Derrick Rose, Joe Johnson, Al Horford, Mike Miller and Tyreke Evans went to Hawaii to take part in the USO’s Hoops for Troops program. The program is a way for the NBA to give back to military service members and their families. The program includes meet and greets, photo sessions with children, and games. Last night was the basketball game and the NBA players put on a show. Tyreke Evans hit a game winner over Mike Miller to give his team the victory. Check out the video below. The NBA lockout has been frustrating, not to just NBA players, but to the fans as well. As a fan, I love watching a game on TNT and ESPN or catching the highlights on SportsCenter. The lockout has kept me from doing that. As NBA fans, we cannot let the lockout ruin our love for the game. There are other ways to get your basketball in, whether it is watching games from last year, playing pick up or in a organized league, or following NBA players in their exhibition games.

For one thing, the NBA lockout has not kept the players from loving the game. As you know, there have been an abundance of exhibition games and leagues that NBA players participated in. Some players are playing in as many as 3 leagues. The bottom line is that the players are not letting the lockout keep them from doing what they love.

Oklahoma City Charity Basketball Game “KD Drops a Triple Double in His KD IV Nerf”

An all-star charity basketball game took place last night in Oklahoma City. Players who participated included Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Chris Paul, James Harden, Michael Beasley among others. Blake Griffin was set to play but had to sit out due to an injury. Hometown hero Durant put up a triple-double with 42 points, 26 rebounds and 11 assists to lead his team to a 176-171 victory in overtime. A triple double wasn’t the only thing Durant put up. At half time, Durant presented an over sized check for $100,000 to Single Parents Support Network of Oklahoma with proceeds from the game.

We can’t forget about sneakers. Durant was seen rocking the KD IV’s, which are set to drop in December of this year. From Durant’s post on FaceBook, it sounds like there will be multiple colorways available.

Kevin Durant said the following on FaceBook:

Wore my Nike Zoom KD IV “nerf” colorway for the first time tonight. MEAN!!! More hot colorways coming soon….”
