Tyrese Maxey’s New Balance “Hero Pack” Releases July 31st

After a huge season, Tyrese Maxey is finally getting his own New Balance collection. He was named Most Improved Player and made his first All-Star Game appearance. New Balance is celebrating with two sneaker releases just for him.

The first shoe is the New Balance Hesi Low V2. It comes dressed in an icy white mesh upper with soft blue tones. Teal and purple TPU accents decorate the heel. A smaller silver “N” logo replaces the usual oversized branding. This sneaker focuses on performance but still looks good off the court.

The second shoe is the New Balance 1906R. It’s more of a lifestyle option. This pair features a clean white canvas base with tan and leather overlays. Blue and violet shades appear on the midsole and inner lining. These details help tie both sneakers together visually.

Both models release July 31, 2025, with the Hesi Low v2 priced at $120 and the 1906R at $160. You can grab them at Foot Locker and likely at NewBalance.com the same day.

UPDATE 7/24/25: Tyrese Maxey is bringing his love of superheroes and hoops to a special “Hero Pack” for New Balance that launches on July 31st. The two-piece pack will come in the 1906R for lifestyle and Hesi Low v2 for on-court play, with each sneaker sporting custom insoles that have the guard’s signature inside a comic book style word bubble. The intricate detail, Maxey explains, was his way of paying homage to his love for comic book art.

In a press release, Maxey said the project served as an embodiment of his high flying and aggressive playing style, as well as his inspirations off the court. New Balance granted him the creative freedom to use his own story to design the pack, “to tell people to find the hero in themselves.”

The “Hero Pack” will launch on NewBalance.com, as well as select Foot Locker locations in Philadelphia and Dallas.

Nike Sportswear loves getting strange—in the very best way with their soon-to-drop Nike Air Force 1 Low “Houseflies” for Fall 2025.

This forthcoming version takes the well-known, all-white Air Force 1 silhouette and remixes it with photorealistic housefly graphics printed across the entirety of the tumbled leather upper, midsole, and outsole. It’s a refreshing-yet-creepy combination.

Elsewhere, the signature Nike AF1 treatment remains untouched. You still receive the signature low-cut profile, perforated toe box, and crisp panel construction that has cemented the AF1 as a legend in its own time. But, those fly graphics will most certainly garner some attention—or disgust.

Is this a look that the Swoosh is dabbling in to make a point about the social or political climate? Is this a play on an outdoor BBQ theme? Or is this simply Nike just having a little fun? Either way, the “Houseflies” Air Force 1 is already garnering chatter in the sneaker community. It’s the kind of release that will no doubt divide those present, while simultaneously selling out quickly.

The Jordan Nu Retro 1 Golf “Sport Royal” sees the re-emergence of an early 2000s design, but with one major alteration for swinging away on the course. The first Nu Retro 1 was originally released back in 2002 to close out MJ’s professional career with an oversized split Wings logo on a low-cut silhouette.

For the golfing iteration, the upper has been spiked and finished with traction technology and a seven-cleat outsole for optimal grip on the greens. New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson debuted the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Statue of Liberty” player exclusive during the 2025 Eastern Conference Finals. Representing one of New York City’s most iconic landmarks, the Statue of Liberty, Nike will now be releasing this special colorway on a commercial basis.

Styled in a hyper turquoise upper to match the oxidized color of the Statue of Liberty, the Kobe 6 Protro also features metallic copper accents on the heel to finish off the nod to the landmark’s patinaed material. This special colorway of the Kobe 6 Protro pairs Zoom Air cushioning with a marbled outsole for use both on the court and on the streets.
