MM6 Maison Margiela is back with Salomon, and the partnership still knows how to make trail footwear feel fresh. Their next project keeps that outdoor foundation in place, but twists it through MM6’s offbeat fashion lens in a way that feels more styled than strictly technical.

The biggest talking point here is the new Cross Dust. The model shows up with a covered upper, and that shroud is stamped with MM6’s familiar number motif, giving the pair a look that feels a little stranger and a lot more distinctive than your average hiking-inspired sneaker. Based on this early preview, at least two color options are on the way.

Salomon is also reprising the XT-6, which makes plenty of sense when you consider just how well that model has performed for each brand individually. The release will be limited to 504 pairs, a direct nod to New Orleans’ 504 area code. Sneaker Politics is back with Reebok for its first collaboration with the brand in nearly ten years, and the result gives the Workout Plus a darker, more textured identity. Dubbed the Sneaker Politics x Reebok Workout Plus “Wishing Ritual”, the pair leans into a stormy aesthetic with layered details that make the classic trainer feel fresh again.

First released in 1986, the Reebok Workout Plus was originally designed as a trainer. This collaboration shines more light on the silhouette by dressing it up in a grey leather base paired with multicolor etched graphics. The detailing adds dimension without overshadowing the model’s vintage design, appealing to both vintage Reebok fans and boutique-collab heads.

Sneaker Politics also appears to be teasing more than just color and texture. Early visuals hint at a possible waterproof upper that may shift in appearance once exposed to water, though that feature has not been officially confirmed. Even so, that detail adds extra intrigue to an already standout release.

UNDEFEATED, Converse, and Major League Baseball are teaming up on a Chuck 70 that digs into a real piece of baseball history. The “Brooklyn Dodgers” colorway looks back at the franchise before the move to Los Angeles and gives the shoe a story that feels more thoughtful than the usual team-inspired drop.

This duo takes inspiration from the Dodgers’ pre-1958 uniforms as the color black was once completely absent from their color scheme. The upper is decked out in black faux ostrich leather and the stitching and embroidery add extra definition and wear to the shoe. A large B logo patches the side, branding from Brooklyn hits the tongue and custom Converse x UNDEFEATED x Dodgers plates are added to the heel.

Baby blue branding on the inner tongue brings in that classic Dodgers look without making the whole design feel too on-the-nose. That is where the shoe gets it right. It clearly respects the past, but it still feels like something people would actually want to wear now instead of a pair built only around nostalgia.

After last year’s 2010 “In My Bag” project, Joe now shifts toward a newer retro-inspired model and gives it a concept rooted in the music video era of ’90s rap that shaped his childhood.

The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 1890 pack pulls directly from the visual language of the late 1990s and early 2000s, especially the bold color, distortion, and larger-than-life styling made famous on MTV. Hype Williams’ futuristic direction plays a major role here, with Joe using that era’s unforgettable energy as the foundation for both pairs. The result is a project that feels tied to music, fashion, and memory all at once.

The two colorways, “Finger Waves” and “Naughty Things,” have not yet been officially tied to specific songs or videos. What has been made clear is that both pairs pull inspiration from the bold visuals and unmistakable attitude of rap videos, with references to artists like Busta Rhymes, Janet Jackson, Missy Elliott and Juvenile helping shape the overall direction of the project. Young Thug delivered one of Coachella’s strongest footwear moments in a custom pair of Sp5der x Vans Slip-Ons made by Mattias Gollin. Worn on stage during Weekend 1, the pair pushed his performance look even further and instantly grabbed attention with its detailed, jewelry-like finish.

The black Slip-Ons feature distressed canvas construction covered in hand-applied stones arranged in Sp5der’s signature web pattern. That design choice ties the shoes directly to Young Thug’s fashion label while giving the classic Vans silhouette a much louder and more luxurious edge. The result feels more like wearable art than a simple festival custom.

Mattias Gollin continues to build a serious name through highly limited Vans creations, and this project adds another standout entry to that catalog.
