As the world’s first eight-division champion, Pacquiao’s devotion to training methods and elite, progressive gear has helped separate the 33-year old from the competition. As he’s trained for his June 9th bout, Pacquiao has been using the new Nike+ Training experience which fuses high-intensity training drills with the appeal of gaming. For fight night, Nike will outfit Pac Man in a collection of gear made from environmentally-friendly materials for high impact in the ring and low impact on the environment.
Nike+ Training connects Pacquiao’s training shoe, the Nike LunarTR1+, with an interactive mobile application that together deliver a highly-advanced training experience. This technology utilizes a new Nike+ Pressure Sensor built into each of Pacquiao’s shoes that collects information about his movement and then wirelessly transmits data to his phone. It is then translated into different metrics, delivering previously unknown information about his training session. The Nike LunarTR1+ will be available and at retail June 29, 2012, in the US, UK, France, Germany and Mainland China.
Beyond the Nike+ Training experience, Pac Man’s fight-night robe and trunks for the June 9th fight will be pound for pound the most sustainable gear in the ring.

With fabric made of 100% recycled polyester, using an average of 50 recycled plastic bottles, Pacquiao’s robe features Nike Sphere Technology on the inside of the robe for lightweight warmth and breathability. At 18% lighter than ever before, just over 6 ounces total, the shorts are designed for zero distractions in the ring.

Featuring Flywire technology and a lockdown strap, the Nike HyperKO MP boot is built to Manny Pacquiao’s exact specifications for both training and fight night. The supportive Flywire and lockdown strap provide the optimal lockdown fit, while the zonal mesh minimizes weight and maximizes moisture management.
