This particular Off-White x Jordan 4 draws inspiration from the original “Bred” (Black/Cement) sneaker, famously worn by Michael Jordan during the 1989 “The Shot” game against Craig Ehlo. Notable features include see-through layers and materials embellished with “AIR” lettering on the midsole.

Now, in 2023, it seems a special edition Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Sheed” could be on the horizon, drawing inspiration from the classic Air Force 1 High “Sheed” PE from 2001.

This version of the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid boasts a sleek Black patent leather upper. On the lateral heel, you’ll find Rasheed Wallace’s iconic fadeaway jumper silhouette logo embroidered. Meanwhile, on the medial side, the word “RASHEED” is joined by the customary “Off-White” text. The shoe also pays homage to the Air Force 1 “Sheed” PE with his jersey number “30” on the ankle strap. Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 650 “Stuntman” Inspired By MJ Limited To 500 Pairs

Joe Freshgoods and New Balance’s partnership, which began during the 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend, has consistently produced clothing and footwear lines. The recent launch of the New Balance 610 “Beneath the Surface” collection earlier this year has now led to their upcoming project: the 650 collaboration.

A glimpse of the new endeavor emerged through Joe Freshgoods’ recent “Across Town” capsule campaign. This campaign showcased JFG’s official Cubs and White Sox shorts for Mitchell & Ness, alongside New Era’s 5950 fitted hats. In a campaign photo, a model casually wears the subtle sneakers, showcasing one of JFG’s simplest New Balance creations. The shoes mainly sport a Sail-based color, with Grey accents on logos, suede heel panels, lower heel molds, and soles. JFG branding replaces the usual “650” insignia on the forefoot, also appearing on the tongue labels.

UPDATE 9/5: Joe Freshgoods has officially revealed his New Balance 650 “Stuntman” collaboration. The shoe is inspired by Michael Jordan rocking New Balances in a 1984 photoshoot for LIFE Magazine. Each shoe will be individually hand-numbered limited to only 500 pairs. A release date is set for Saturday, September 9th.

“A few years ago, while going through old magazines for reference material, I stumbled upon a photograph of someone ‘Special’ wearing a pair of NB’s in…a photoshoot,” wrote Freshgoods in an Instagram post unveiling the “Stuntman” pair. “And I simply thought to myself, ‘What if the story was different’?”
