The upcoming Nike Air Jordan 3 ’88 “White Cement” was the main topic last week due to their price tag they will carry. However, continuing on the first “Nike Air” Jordan logo to retro we have some new detailed images. “We have been working closely with SUPRA,” said SOLEBOX founder Hikmet Sugoer, “so we wanted to take it to the next level with our own project. The grey and lime green combo is based on the original SOLEBOX shop front from ten years ago, which had grey walls and a green SOLEBOX logo. And we chose this design for the Skytop III because it is one of our favorites from the SUPRA line.”
The SOLEBOX Skytop III upper is outfitted with a plush grey suede upper and green accents. The highlight of the stylish mid top, however, is the translucent grey, glow-in-the-dark TPR cage, heel pull, and outsole, all of which glow a bright green at night. The shoe has a green microfiber tongue and padded lining, SOLEBOX branded sock liner and aglets. It rests on a comfortable, lightweight, white SUPRAFOAM midsole, and it comes with a custom screen printed lace bag with alternate green laces.

Following the first look at the Jordan Melo M9 “Year of The Snake” comes the first images of the “Black History Month” Jordan Melo M9. Inspired by the Brooklyn flag and graffiti in the subways that uses a full 3M detailing throughout along with the “BHM” logo on the tongues. These are said to debut on February 9th, 2013 retailed for $145 to select Jordan Brand accounts.

“No Cup Is Safe” highlights friendly competition between McIlroy and Woods.
BEAVERTON, Ore. (January 14, 2012) – On the heels of Nike Golf’s major announcement today that Rory McIlroy has joined its athlete roster, Nike Golf is also unveiling a new TV spot that features global sports icon Tiger Woods and McIlroy.
The 60-second spot (30-second also available), produced by Wieden + Kennedy, is set to air from Wednesday, January 16 to Monday, January 21 on ESPN and The Golf Channel in the United States, on TSN in Canada, and on Sky Sports in Europe. The “No Cup is Safe” piece showcases the athletic competitiveness, remarkable talents, and playful attitudes of the two best golfers in the world.
“I really like the ad,” Woods said. “It shows the fun side of us and I had a good time shooting it.”
“I’m genuinely excited about the first Nike TV ad I will be appearing in as a Nike athlete,” McIlroy said. “The theme of the ad is really cool and it’s a great way to kick off my career at Nike.”
McIlroy and Woods are captured on the driving range lightheartedly taking turns to one-up each other by making amazing shots into a variety of different cups. The viewer is reminded that these two Nike Golf athletes can excite, engage and perform like no others in the sport today. While the ad displays their playful manner, it also conveys the competitiveness between two of the best golfers in the world.
