Build wise it’s true to the Chuck 70 but dialled up a notch in terms of detailing. Starting off with a cream canvas base. Embellished with a Swarovski crystal Hello Kitty graphic across the side which sparkles when walking. These are details you start to appreciate more as time goes on.

Pink hits show up in small ways throughout, on the midsole piping, inside lining, and the translucent outsole underfoot. You certainly can’t ignore that fact with the brand’s latest endeavor, as this hybrid takes influence from movement just as much as it does basketball. Meet the Jordan Pointe “Black/Sail.”

True to form, the silhouette remains relatively minimal. A sleek matte black upper extends clean-cut from toe to heel with only some soft overlays lightly adding structure throughout. Spanning across the midfoot is a wide elastic strap in place of laces that hooks into a triangular Flight badge, allowing branding to remain subtle.

The detail down low speaks volumes in contrast. Sculpted in Sail, the midsole bends through the midfoot with swooping organic curves. HOKA continues to expand beyond its core audience with a culture-driven push alongside Foot Locker, tapping Gucci Mane to spotlight the Bondi 7. While the brand has built its reputation on comfort and performance, this campaign signals a stronger move into lifestyle and street relevance.

The rollout cleverly plays off a long-running NBA inside joke, pairing Gucci Mane with veteran referee James Williams, who’s widely known as his real-life lookalike. The resemblance has been a talking point among players for years, making their on-screen link-up feel natural rather than forced.

In the campaign video, Gucci shops for sneakers while Williams appears as a Foot Locker employee, adding a light, unscripted feel that leans into humor and personality. The moment closes with Gucci’s signature “Guwop!” ad-lib, keeping things authentic to his persona.
