Nike Air Force 1 Downtown Hi “Hologram”
Here is a first look at another new Nike Air Force 1 Downtown Hi model that gets a “Hologram” treatment. This upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Downtown Hi features a White base with Hologram detailing on the Swoosh and heel tab. Nike LeBron X + Kobe 8 “Chicago Sky Playoff” PEs
Chicago Sky will start their WNBA Playoff run this Friday vs. Indiana Fever, and both Swin Cash and Epiphanny Prince show off their special Player Exclusives they will be rocking this postseason. Swin will be lacing up the Nike LeBron X, while Prince rocks her Nike Kobe 8 both models decked out in Orange and Yellow. adidas Originals FW13 “Run Thru Time” Pack
The life of Haile Gebrselassie is something of a metaphor for the evolution of adidas running shoes. As a child growing up in Ethiopia in the early 80s, Gebrselassie would run 10km to school every day with his bare feet. It was not until 1989 that he owned his first pair of running shoes, hand-me-downs from his older brother, which just happened to be adidas.
Three years later Gebrselassie signed with adidas, establishing himself as a prodigious distance runner, winning multiple championships in both the 5,000 and 10,000 metres disciplines. Before the 90s were up, he had set and smashed his own world records 17 times.
Like Gebrselassie, adidas running shoes have continued to push the boundaries over the years, always leading the pack. In the 00s, he began to concentrate on longer distances, beating the world half marathon record by a full 21 seconds in 2006 and winning the Berlin Marathon four times consecutively at the end of the decade.
He achieved all of these feats with his signature running style: his right arm pumping madly and left arm bent and locked at his side. Why? Because that’s how he carried his books when he ran to school all those years back.
The RUN THRU TIME pack for FW13 is suffused with adidas Originals’ great heritage, bringing the past 30 years back to life in a fresh, contemporary way. The pack of nine shoes takes three iconic running silhouettes – the ZXZ ADV from the 80s, the ZX 5000 Response from the 90s and the Adizeros Adios 2 from the 00s – and expresses each of them in three colorway/material concepts synonymous with each of the three decades.
The 80s execution is all about classic mesh, vintage suede and reflective stripes; the colorful 90s execution utilizes engineered mesh and synthetic suedes; and the casual-inspired 00s execution involves a premium mix of materials like soft leather and nubuck.
Air Jordan 14 Retro Light Graphite/Chartreuse – Unreleased Sample
The Air Jordan 14 Retro LS Light Graphite/Chartreuse originally released on September 24th, 2005, and here is a look at the unreleased sample version. Featuring a similar color-scheme as the released version with just minor differences like the colored back heel. New Balance 1300 Charcoal/Red – Now Available
This particular New Balance 1300 colorway is an ideal model to rock for the Fall. Dressed in a Charcoal and Red color-schem built with a mixture of mesh and suede sitting atop an ENCAP sole. You can now find this New Balance 1300 available at select retailers, including KITH.
adidas Enforcer Mid “Pellegrini Snakeskin” Pack
Later this Fall, adidas Originals will be reissuing their classic Enforcer Mid model in a special “Pellegrini Snakeskin” Pack. This pack includes two adidas Enforcer Mid models in either Black or Brown with snakeskin detailing along the upper. Look for the pack to launch within the next couple weeks to select adidas Originals accounts.
2013 Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle: Possible LeBron Release?
The 2013 Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle will officially be announced on September 28th, at 5:30 PM at the Portland Art Museum. There are rumors floating around that a possible Nike LeBron model could be added to this year’s collection.
Reasoning around those rumors are both Elijah Diggins and Jake Dering, both whom will be designers of the collection, have listed LeBron James as their favorite athlete. Again, these are just rumors going around, but with two designers having LBJ as their favorite athletes could round up a first time Nike LeBron Doernbecher release.
Come September 28th, Nike will officially give us full details on the upcoming 2013 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection. Keep it locked to Sneaker Bar and in-time we will see if a LeBron model will be added to the collection. Would you like to see a DB LeBron model release?
