The Nice Kicks x New Balance 1600 “Grand Anse” is inspired by the Grand Anse beach on Grenada, a Caribbean island in the West Indies. According to Dave McMenamin from ESPN Los Angeles, Kobe Bryant and Nike Basketball plan to release a Michael Jackson and Air Jordan 3 “Elephant Print” inspired edition of the Nike Kobe 9 Elite.
Kobe Bryant has looked at Michael Jackson and Michael Jordan as “mentors” throughout his career. Therefore, this shouldn’t be to no surprise that Bryant and Nike will pay tribute to the two MJs with special edition colorways.
What to expect each model to look like is unknown, but as far as the Michael Jackson model they’ll probably pay tribute to Jackson’s trademark White socks and Black shoes. For the Air Jordan 3 inspired model, expect to see the elephant print detailed through the entire silhouette.
