Air Jordan 6 “Black & White” Unreleased Samples Revealed

Air Jordan 6 samples are always in high demand, but these newly discovered 1-of-1s are on another level.

Instead of test pairs that are typically manufactured to tweak materials and colorways, these two were made at request, making them even rarer. Recently resurfaced in Portland’s Index consignment shop, the pair features two different takes on the classic 1991 silhouette.

On one, the premium black nubuck upper is paired with white Jumpman branding while the other is the exact opposite; it features a clean white leather upper, black midsole and black Jumpman details. Both feature translucent outsoles with a hidden white outsole hidden underneath.

Stamped to 2012, the samples resurfaced during a period of time when the AJ6 was nonexistent. The only retail editions released in 2012 were the “Olympic” and “Golden Moments” colorways. No other AJ6 colorways were released until 2014, making these pair of requested samples ultra-exclusive.

Jordan Brand is sure to be dropping new and original colorways in time for the Air Jordan 6’s 35th Anniversary in 2026, but for now these 1-of-1 samples show us that some sneakers will always be unattainable grails.

These 2012 Air Jordan 6 “Black & White” Samples are not on retail release schedule.

Jason Williams’ Nike Zoom Hyperflight “Varsity Purple” PE Expected Spring 2026

The Nike Zoom Hyperflight “Varsity Purple” will soon reintroduce one of Nike’s earliest—and wildest—designs. Hyperflights were originally released in 2001, and helped kick off Nike Basketball’s future-forward, seamless era. The original featured a wraparound sole, a sock-like silhouette, and an almost helmet-like upper, and was amped up by Jason Williams.

Nike Zoom Hyperflight PE Jason Williams Sacramento Kings colorway
Jason Williams’ Nike Zoom Hyperflight PE in Varsity Purple pays tribute to his Sacramento Kings era, combining bold design with early-2000s sneaker culture.

The Sacramento Kings guard, known as “White Chocolate” for his flashy demeanor and fearless playstyle, originally swooped down in a Hyperflight Player Exclusive during his time with the team. That PE featured purple mirror-finish uppers, and has since developed cult status among sneakerheads and fans of early 2000s Nikes. It remains to be seen whether or not the retail model will be a direct copy of the player edition (fans are hoping for subtle touches like “JWILL” stitched on the heel or his No. 55 on the tongue), but that’s just the kind of story that makes retro drops work.

The Hyperflight’s comeback also plays into Nike Basketball’s present. The G.T. Future, a high-performance model that launches Holiday 2025, is essentially a Hyperflight on steroids. The shared silhouette, which is engineered for aerodynamics, shows how Nike has mined its Y2K basketball archive in service of its current performance line. Hyperflights have never been quite as retro heavyweights as, say, the Foamposite One. But a Hyperflight original still has major fans, and this highly anticipated drop should satisfy them.

Air Jordan 12 GS “Pearl Pink” Releases November 2025

UPDATE 9/4/25: New in-hand photos of the Air Jordan 12 “Pearl Pink” have surfaced. This grade school exclusive releases November 21, 2025. Scroll down for a closer look.

Original Story 8/13/25:
Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2025 range is getting a kids-only Air Jordan 12 “Pearl Pink”. The festive colorway is playful, featuring a monotone treatment in Pearl Pink and Medium Soft Pink. This colorful pair was made for children who like to express themselves through the sneakers they wear.

The upper is made from tumbled leather. Stitched panels are added on each side, while the chrome metal eyelets contrast the rest of the upper. The embroidered Jumpman is on the tongue, while the traditional “TWO 3” branding is stitched down the center of the shoe. The tonal rubber midsole and outsole complete the look, and the herringbone outsole pattern is on display for optimal traction on the court.

2025 is already looking like a big year for the Air Jordan 12 with retros like the “Flu Game” and “Taxi” colorways returning, this new “Pearl Pink” variation adds to the shoe’s renaissance in 2025. This version of the sneaker is more playful, sporting a custom kids colorway and keeping the performance DNA of the Air Jordan 12 the same.

Nike Air Max DN Roam Comes Winter Ready

Arriving for Fall, the Nike Air Max DN Roam is a winterized update to the silhouette first seen this year.

The DN Roam carries over the futuristic aesthetic and Dynamic Air cushioning but this update for the colder months features utilitarian touches.

The headlining update is the protective zip-up shroud. It provides a streamlined look while also protecting the foot from the elements. Abrasion resistant textiles and multi-layered overlays improve durability, while pull tabs and toggle closures allow for easy adjustments. That fusion of fashion and function helps the DN Roam stand out from standard releases.

Supporting that is the Dynamic Air cushioning system returns underfoot with responsive performance and high visual impact. Leading the drop are three colorways: an all-Black version, a Black and Cargo Khaki combination, and a College Gray pair accented with Volt and aqua pops.

Air Jordan MVP 92 “Gym Red” Gives Off “Raging Bull” Vibes

Drawing heavy inspiration from the Air Jordan 7, the Jordan MVP 92 “Gym Red” perfectly meshes retro nostalgia and modern styling.

Adopting the stacked midsole, athletic profile, and “Flight” tongue writing, the silhouette is a nod to one of MJ’s most iconic eras. For that alone, sneakerheads will likely catch the correlation.

Covered in a vibrant red nubuck giving off classic “Raging Bull” vibes, the MVP 92 has a powerful air, further subdued by a tonal mesh upper. Black detailing found on the heel tab, midsoles, and tongue starkly contrast the upper while jagged white triangles and Jumpman logo stitching provide contrast and edge. Outsole consist of both black and translucent rubber to maximize traction and longevity.

The Jordan MVP 92 “Gym Red” is expected to be available in stores and online at Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com Fall 2025.

Sneaker Junkies x adidas Gazelle “Clam Chowder” Releases September 13th

Almost 20 years in the New England streetwear game, Sneaker Junkies has teamed up with adidas for a regional ode — the Gazelle “Clam Chowder”.

The shoe nods to the New England staple in a clever design. Creamy suede used for the upper represents the broth, grey stripes are the clams, and green parsley-like laces make an appearance, as do oyster cracker inspired insoles and an anchor hangtag as a nod to Rhode Island’s coastal lifestyle.

The heel tab even features a cartoon clam graphic. Units are individually numbered out of 800 pairs, upping the exclusivity factor on this color story.

Releasing September 13th, the Sneaker Junkies x adidas Gazelle “Clam Chowder” will be available online and in-store only for $130 at sneakerjunkiesusa.com.

Adidas and Sneaker Junkies will host community days at their three New England locations in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut, with food, live DJs and regional chowder tastings from Dune Brothers and CT Clam Chowder Co.

Burna Boy Joins On As Clubhouse President

Burna Boy has been named Clubhouse President in a unique collaboration with On. It’s a creative collaboration that takes an interesting approach to sportswear partnerships, giving Burna Boy an opportunity to co-create visuals and music while providing a platform for culture, as well as product.

“It’s a collaboration that made sense between our two worlds of music, sport and community. It’s an organic fit,” Burna Boy said in a press statement.

Fans of the Nigerian Afrobeats titan will likely recognise the importance in that small detail — the work is also about narrative and not just pushing the latest running shoe. On is a performance-first footwear brand, so the appointment of a cultural icon to help develop and grow its creative vision and community is a savvy move.

It’s also in line with a wider trend, with New Balance signing Rosalía as Global Ambassador earlier this month, and Vans naming SZA as their Artistic Director. Brands’ focus on non-sportspersons is a strategic way to change how they accrue clout, and as On are finding, tying lifestyle and creativity to a brand’s DNA. On’s aim could also be to get Burna Boy to take them further into fashion and culture discourse, rather than just see them on the running track.

Officially, the collaboration will kick off in 2025 with campaigns to follow later in the year. There are more releases and visuals to look out for, too.

A Jordan Jumpman Jack Sample From Holiday 2024 Surfaces

Travis Scott’s Jordan Jumpman Jack dominated sneaker headlines in 2024, but momentum has slowed a year later. With Chase B’s pair set to release in October, it looks like only two colorways will officially reach the public this year.

Recently surfaced samples, shared by @collectors_closet, reveal what might have been. The design carries Travis’s signature neutral palette, paired with pink accents he’s used before. A white Reverse Swoosh and black strap branding give it a unique spin, though its layout feels like an early take on the “University Red” edition.

Since the sample’s tag pointed to a missed Holiday 2024 release window, chances of seeing this version drop are slim. Still, the leak offers a glimpse at how the Jumpman Jack could continue evolving in future colorways.

For collectors, this leak is a reminder of how quickly Travis Scott footwear moves from hype to history. Whether or not the Jumpman Jack continues, this sample proves there’s still untapped potential for the silhouette.

Nike LeBron 23 “Grand Opening” Honors LeBron’s First Signature Shoe

The Nike LeBron 23 “Grand Opening” celebrates a pivotal day: LeBron James’ NBA debut on October 29, 2003, and the beginning of his Nike signature line. That night, the 19-year-old rookie wore the Air Zoom Generation 1 for his first NBA game, a 25-point performance against the Sacramento Kings.

The colorway completely reinterprets this storied debut using a pristine white textile upper with a patterned overlay. The red Crown Containment System around the shoe brings back the audacious design language of the AZG. The oversized Swoosh and LJ23 heel branding feature gold highlights to add championship swag. The icy translucent outsole provides modern design details. Little touches like the stitched date “10-29-2003” on the collar is where Nike’s attention to storytelling detail is unmatched. This is what we covet as collectors.

When compared to the upcoming “Uncharted” debut colorway, the “Grand Opening” feels far more personal, directly tied to LeBron’s rookie season.

LaMelo Ball’s PUMA LaFrance RNR “Grey/Neon” Releases October 2025

The debut of LaMelo Ball’s line with PUMA has been one of the most impactful sneaker launches in basketball footwear. The latest release in the LaFrance family, the PUMA LaFrance RNR “Grey/Neon” is a bold silhouette that both stretches the boundaries of style and offers functional performance.

The PUMA LaFrance RNR is the second installment in LaMelo Ball’s basketball sneaker line. Rather than continuing the fashion-forward route of the first model, the RNR is all about moving on trails. The upper is layered in varying grey tones and features slime green piping and futuristic reflective iridescent cut-outs. A translucent TPU lacestay brings texture and forward-thinking detail, while sculpted midsoles with gemstone-like accents are sure to make an impression with energy sneakerheads.

Playful details and a bold color scheme keep the signature Ball aesthetic, but the shoe feels more mature in this iteration. More lifestyle-heavy than his previous MB.01 and MB.02 releases, the new LaFrance RNR is some of the most versatile footwear in the star guard’s collection.

The PUMA LaFrance RNR “Grey/Neon” will drop on October 3, 2025 and is priced at $125 in men’s sizing at PUMA.com and select retailers.

Wales Bonner x adidas Jabbar Honors Kareem in LA Colors

British designer Grace Wales Bonner is still making waves with her adidas designs. This time around, Wales Bonner x adidas sees the designer putting her own spin on Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s first signature basketball shoe, the Jabbar. With a subtle touch, the new Wales Bonner x adidas Jabbar debuts with a plush purple suede upper and gold and white leather stripes, colorways reminiscent of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Bonner takes the Jabbar, a silhouette that is oft-overlooked in the light of other, more classic adidas basketball shoes such as the Superstar, and gives it a level of nuance that’ll be seen from a mile away. The stripe design plays with different textures, including croc embossed leather, while the half shell toe differentiates the design from other adidas basketball shoes on the market. The suede finish, too, helps the pair to garner a luxe appeal.

For Bonner, the collaboration is also a way to honor Abdul-Jabbar’s impact on the game beyond the hardwood. On the inside of the shoe, a graphic of the player’s signature sky-hook shot pays homage to his dominant presence on the court. In all, this collaboration is heavy on cultural weight, more so than most other drops. While this may not be Bonner’s most ubiquitous design to date, when compared to her sought after Sambas, the Jabbar takes on a more braver and less timid appearance. For the designer, it’s a sign of what’s to come as she takes on more adidas history.

On the collecting front, this drop is a strong example of adidas’ ethos in recent years of simultaneously commemorating legends of yesteryear while also catapulting itself into the modern, fashion-forward, and high-end realms with collabs and one-of-a-kind limited releases.

The Wales Bonner x adidas Jabbar will release September 8, 2025, through adidas Confirmed and select retailers.

New Balance 2002R “Black/Oat” Is Here For Everyday Wear

The New Balance 2002R “Black/Oat” reintroduces a sneaker with a low key appeal for Fall 2025.

2002Rs have been a mainstay in the company’s lineup since their revival in 2020. The sneaker is a popular choice that straddles performance and casual wear. This release is a staple, constructed with a black mesh and suede upper and featuring reflective silver accents for visual intrigue. It’s the kind of detail sneakerheads will appreciate.

New Balance 204L “Black/Timberwolf” Comes In New Patent Leather

The New Balance 204L “Black/Timberwolf” In Patent Leather is a shiny reboot of an underappreciated archival runner.

Introduced in the early 2000s, the 204L quietly gained popularity for its rugged construction and versatile design. The Fall 2025 version of the sneaker revamps the original formula with patent leather overlays, which add a flashier twist that makes it easy to distinguish from its synthetic leather-focused predecessors.

Cloaked in black with plenty of mesh uppers to balance out the shinier areas, the shoe has Timberwolf grey accents on the “N” logo, heel branding, and tongue tag. Light grey padded textile lining gives it a softer feel and some reflective trim for the sneaker purists who spot those things. The cushioned foam midsole is mated to a rubber outsole and some circular pods and cream details.
