The Air Jordan 20 (XX) “Stealth Black” released on April 9, 2005, and retailed for $175 to select Jordan Brand accounts. The Air Jordan 20 (XX) are inspired by an expensive trumpet, racing boots, and motorcycle tires. Featuring a Black nubuck color scheme throughout the upper, with patent leather overlays, hints of Varsity Red sitting atop a Grey outsole. The silhouette was designed by Tinker Hatfield, while the laser detailing was designed by Mark Smith. Throughout the shoe are symbols that represent MJ’s stories that true JordanHeads would only know.
Other features to the Air Jordan 20 (XX) include the new Independent Podular Suspension (IPS) technology system cushioning, and the free-floating ankle strap. The outsole includes 20 different pods (10 on each pair) and an internal shank plate near the midfoot area.
The Air Jordan 20 (XX) wasn’t the best designed Air Jordan silhouette from the brand, but was maybe one of the most talked about pairs produced. After taking a look at these below, would you ever like to see them reissued again?
