Jordan Spizike OG 2014 Retro

This Jordan Spizike colorway dressed in a White, Varsity Red, Cement Grey and Classic Green was the first ever Jordan Spizike to release in 2006. There were only 4,032 pairs produced that led to a high demand of the silhouette. Prior to the release there were a handful of hand tags autographed by Spike Lee that were randomly distributed amongst the pairs.

There are now rumors floating around that the Jordan Spizike OG is set to make a return as a 2014 retro release. We have yet to hear confirmation from Jordan Brand, but if things pan out to be true how many of you would cop a pair?

Community Poll: Air Jordan OG vs. Retro Releases

Do you prefer OG or Retro Air Jordan releases? Have you ever wonder why some sell more than others? How about the simple fact that just because the “Nike Air” is slap on a back heel that they’ll sell more than the retro version.

Every year Jordan Brand re-releases some classic OG models in retro form when celebrating a certain 23rd anniversary of a particular silhouette. It’s kind of rare to see people these days rocking OG Jordans from the 90’s to the early 2000’s. One of the major differences between OG Jordans and Retro Jordans is the fact that they’re made with better materials – which causes the big demand for OG releases.

air-jordan-nike-air

There are pros and cons for both OG vs. Retro releases. For OG Jordans, you can always count on them being high quality, but more expensive. For Retro Jordans, one thing to look forward to is the new introduced color schemes, like the previous released Air Jordan 3 “Wolf Grey” colorway, but is produced with lower quality.

Jordan Brand is set to remaster their Air Jordan Retro releases for their Spring 2015 lineup, which will lead to higher quality Retro/OG Air Jordans. So before we are introduced to the remastered versions, which have you been a more fan of – Air Jordan OG or Air Jordan Retro Releases?

Sneaker Talk: Let’s Talk – Air Jordan 20 (XX) “Stealth Black”

The Air Jordan 20 (XX) “Stealth Black” released on April 9, 2005, and retailed for $175 to select Jordan Brand accounts. The Air Jordan 20 (XX) are inspired by an expensive trumpet, racing boots, and motorcycle tires. Featuring a Black nubuck color scheme throughout the upper, with patent leather overlays, hints of Varsity Red sitting atop a Grey outsole. The silhouette was designed by Tinker Hatfield, while the laser detailing was designed by Mark Smith. Throughout the shoe are symbols that represent MJ’s stories that true JordanHeads would only know.

Other features to the Air Jordan 20 (XX) include the new Independent Podular Suspension (IPS) technology system cushioning, and the free-floating ankle strap. The outsole includes 20 different pods (10 on each pair) and an internal shank plate near the midfoot area.

The Air Jordan 20 (XX) wasn’t the best designed Air Jordan silhouette from the brand, but was maybe one of the most talked about pairs produced. After taking a look at these below, would you ever like to see them reissued again?

Best Wedding Photo if You’re a LeBron James Fan

Being a sneakerhead we have seen a lot of crazy wedding photos before, but we have never seen a wedding like this.

How would you feel if your best buddy getting married told you that instead of wearing a boring and uncomfortable suit, you would be rocking a basketball jersey?

This wedding wasn’t plan, but when LeBron James broke the news that he is coming home, Christa Deckard and Nick Jones felt it was only appropriate to make some last minute changes to their wardrobe.

Nick has been a fan of LeBron for a long time, whom collected all of his jerseys to create one funny wedding photo we’ve seen in a long time. Let us know what you think of this photo in the comment section, and we’ll keep an eye out to see if other people follow with some Michael Jordan jerseys.

Air Jordan 6 OG 2014 Releases

We are officially more than halfway over the 23rd Anniversary of the Air Jordan 6 silhouette. Thus far, we have seen two out of the four OG colorways slated to re-release in 2014. The “White Infrared” Air Jordan 6 kicked off the year, followed by the “Carmine” 6s. Next up is the Air Jordan 6 “Sport Blue” colorway that will lead up to the most anticipated pair, the Air Jordan 6 “Black Infrared” – which will include the classic 3M once again.

There are still other original Air Jordan 6 colorways we’d like to see release for the remainder of the year, like the “Maroon” 6s (now wouldn’t that be a sick retro). But from what we know now, these four releases are the only OG Air Jordan 6 colorways debuting in 2014.

Check out the photos below of all four Air Jordan 6 OG 2014 Releases and let us know which pair is your favorite, as well as letting us know which pair is missing and should retro in 2014?
