Air Jordan 4 “Gold Branding” Melo PE
If you were to base Melo’s decision on where he will play ball next season by his latest player exclusive silhouettes – then all signs are pointing towards Chicago or Houston.
We recently shared a look at this Air Jordan 4 PE for Melo around the same time the Air Jordan 11 Melo PE was leaked. Now since the 11s have died down a bit, we now bring you another look at the Air Jordan 4 “Gold Branding” Melo PE. The reason why we dubbed this Air Jordan 4 “Gold Branding” was because of the Gold branded Jumpman logo on the tongues and back heel. Other features include a full White leather base with Red accents throughout.

Nike Golf Introduces New Footwear Styles
Perfect for summer’s longer days, warmer weather and extra hours on the golf course, Nike Golf introduces two new footwear styles inspired by more than four decades of Nike’s deep roots in athletic shoe design.
Available July 1, Nike Golf’s new Lunar Waverly and Lunar Mont Royal join the Lunar Clayton as part of the Versatility footwear family. Nike Golf designers drew inspiration from Nike’s footwear heritage to create innovative styles inspired by iconic running and court sport silhouettes perfect for both on and off the golf course.
“The Lunar Waverly and Lunar Mont Royal were inspired by classic Nike footwear styles, and we adapted those designs for athletes who want a golf shoe with versatile appeal,” says Carl Madore, Nike Golf Innovation Design Lead. “These shoes have incredible performance technology that are great for playing 18 holes or wearing before or after the round, too. You can hit balls at the driving range on your lunch break without ever changing your shoes. These styles are modeled after some of Nike’s first shoes but modernized to perform specifically for golf.”
Since introducing Integrated Traction technology in footwear in 2010, Nike Golf has continued to improve the tread design for a combination of incredible traction and off-course comfort. The iconic Nike waffle sole featured on the Lunar Waverly and Lunar Mont Royal provides a more aggressive tread for superior grip and control on course, while echoing Nike’s storied history in athletic footwear.
LUNAR WAVERLY
Madore and team crafted the Lunar Waverly to be just as comfortable on the course as it is off. Partnering with the Nike Sports Research Lab, Nike Golf designers used pressure-mapping analysis to zero in on how the foot moves during the swing, determining waffle lug’s size, height, hardness and overall configuration. The footwear team brought that pressure mapping to life through visible color patterns on a traditional Nike waffle outsole reminiscent of the company’s very first footwear styles. The outsole features superior grip and traction within an iconic tread pattern.
Nike Dynamic Flywire technology combines with a rubber cup-sole for lateral support, surrounded by a waterproof full-grain leather upper. For the first time ever, Nike Golf designers utilized cork for a sock liner that is incredibly comfortable and extremely lightweight. The anti-microbial material helps prevent odor and provides a distinctive design detail, while full-length Nike Lunarlon foam delivers maximum responsive cushioning.
LUNAR MONT ROYAL
When the Nike Montreal was unveiled in 1975, it was the brand’s first signature shoe designed for running legend Steve Prefontaine. Nearly 40 years later, Nike Golf brings the Montreal’s iconic color blocking design and running-inspired silhouette to the golf course in the Lunar Mont Royal.
Featuring Lunarlon foam in the heel and modern no-sew technology in the midfoot, the Mont Royal incorporates the traditional Nike waffle sole for incredible grip and control. Tapping into insights from performance testing, Nike Golf footwear designers constructed the outsole with waffle tread rolling up around the toe and inner side of the foot to maintain traction through the swing as the foot pushes off the ground.
LUNAR CLAYTON
A new Deep Burgundy Lunar Clayton featuring a lavender outsole will be available July 1. Launched in early 2014, the Lunar Clayton – a premium, handcrafted shoe that is a versatile option for both on and off the course – celebrates the heritage and history of golf while providing athletes with superior comfort and a supportive fit.

Nike Hypervenom “Gold” Neymar Jr. PE
As a football-obsessed 12 year-old in the Brasilian coastal city of Santos, Neymar Jr. would spray paint his football boots gold. Now Nike has created a stunning new gold version of the Brasilian star’s Hypervenom boots for him to wear during the rest of the tournament. The boot will be available on www.nike.com from June 26th.
The original Hypervenom Phantom boot was launched by Neymar Jr. in Rio de Janeiro in May 2013 and made an immediate mark when he lit up his home country in the Confederations Cup.
“When we met with Neymar he told us that when he was 12 he used to spray paint his boots gold. He said that he always wanted a pair of gold boots but that he couldn’t find them anywhere. So we took that insight and decided this summer would be the perfect moment to create this boot for him,” said Denis Dekovic, Nike Football Design Director.
“The biggest challenge was getting the gold tone perfect so it had the right spray-painted look,” Dekovic said. “We worked closely with Neymar to get it as close to how he remembered the color when he would apply it as a kid. We’re all delighted with the results and can’t wait to see it on pitch.”
This special version of the Hypervenom Phantom features a unique sock-liner detail of a gold spray paint can and the Hypervenom boot graphic .
The Nike Football design team created the Hypervenom by first looking at trends among strikers in today’s game.
“The Nike Hypervenom is a response to the way the game is changing. Players want to be quicker, not just in a foot race, but quicker with the ball at their feet in small spaces. They need to create chances from nothing. The Hypervenom was designed to help combat today’s faster defenders by allowing strikers that extra split-second in the box,” said Dekovic.
NIKESKIN UPPER
The design team knew that the product had to re-examine the way boots were being created.
“Traditionally a new boot will focus on an evolution of the fit, the upper material or the sole plate and stud configuration. The Hypervenom features new solutions for all of these areas,” said Dekovic.
The Hypervenom’s upper is created using the new NIKESKIN system. This execution of NIKESKIN features a soft, supple mesh bound with a thin polyurethane film, and is finished off with Nike All Conditions Control technology (ACC) to provide the same level of foot-to-ball control in both wet and dry conditions.
“Mesh delivers an amazing level of comfort and feel. The athletes asked us to deliver a boot that gets as close as possible to the feeling of playing barefoot,” Dekovic said. “Mesh takes us a step closer to doing that and the All Conditions Control finish keeps the mesh dry.”
PERFECTED LAST AND OUTSOLE
The Hypervenom also features a new foot last, removing excess materials to place the foot closer to the ground and ball.
Nike worked with some of the world’s top podiatrists to create a decoupled outsole that increases the player’s ability to make that important first step away from the defender. A groove in the forefoot helps to quickly activate the first metatarsal, the bone that defines reaction time of the foot’s first movement.
The chassis of the outsole features compressed nylon for a high-response plate that helps deliver strength while being incredibly light. The stud configuration and length is designed to allow for faster penetration of the surface, and ultimately a quicker release – all innovations designed to help players create space faster than ever before.
